Pretty Birds Should Die (Closed)

Heronwing relaxed by the river. With her training in the dark forest and her litter of kits sent off to be apprentices, she was okay. Her paws soaked in the smooth, cold water and she felt peaceful. The cold breeze had died down, and it was okay. Still, she had a bad feeling about today. Little did she know, two Thunderclan cats were lurking, looking for blood...

Thinstripe was padding through the forest, she was with the Medicine Cat Apprentice doing (who knows) and had spotted the she-cat in the river. She crouched down and rubbed her scent against some bushes that had strong scents, she stalked the she-cat and growled quietly "Do you know who that is?" she murmured into Stonepaw's ear.

Heronwing lazed about, but noticed cats nearby. They disappeared behind a bend, and she thought nothing of it. She closed her eyes and waited for something to happen, like maybe a fish to simply appear at her paws so she could at least do something.

Thinstripe growled "She is on our territory!" Thinstripe pointed out "And we need to do something"

Thinstripe looked at Stonepaw "I know" she mewed "just watch me first" she unsheathed her claws and jumped out of the bush, looking the RiverClan cat in the eyes.

Heronwing's ears perked as a fish swam to her paws. She smiled and sunk her claws into the fishes side, picking it up and dropping it on the bank beside her. However, she hadn't realized that the majority of where she was sitting was on Thunderclan's side of the border- she had hopped onto their side to catch a bit more sunshine on that certain spot. No one would care though, they didn't even fish... So, she'd be okay. Right...?

Wrong.

Just before her, a Thunderclan warrior jumped out. Scared out of her pelt by the sudden movement, she fell back into the water, soaking her pelt and making her vulnerable for the time being as she struggled to get back up. Even in her clan, she never was a good swimmer.

Thinstripe bared her teeth at the warrior "What are you doing in ThunderClan Territory!" she spat, she put her paw in the air and slashed it across her face.

Thinstripe used Front Paw Strike, dealing 17 damage and costing 10 stamina

"Look, I was ju- Ah!" She exclaimed as her face was slashed. Falling back, she growled, and she retreated into the water. Readying herself for her move, she bunched up her legs before using a;ll her force to push down the other warrior. Blood dripped from the wound on her face. No need for explanations now.

Heronwing used Underwater Push-Off, Costing 27 Damage And 35 Stamina.

Thinstripe walked away into the bushes as if she was giving up, when she vanished she zoomed out at full speed. She clawed her until she was tired and of energy, she eyed the warrior making sure she wouldn't escape.

"Uh-!" She exclaimed as she was hit. She struggled to move as she was thrashed, and it hurt terribly, like her training. Hissing in pain, she tried to give the other she-cat the win before getting away.

Troutstep wondered around camp, wondering what to do on this non eventful day. Looking around, he noticed Heronwing was no where to be found and decided to go find her. Trotting out of camp, the tom followed his mates faint scent. The river? He wondered what she could possibly be doing there. Although he didn't know what, Troutstep knew something bad was happening so he picked up the pace. As he ran closer, he stopped dead in his tracks. Is, that... blood?

Crashing through the bushes, he stumbled to the river's shore. Where did the scent go? Troutstep glanced around until he found the source. "H-Heronwing?" He meowed softly, running over to his mate. No one was around but it was clear a fight had taken place. "Hey, what happened?" He spoke just over a whisper, sitting beside her, and gently licking her cheek.

OOC- Stonepaw had poisoned her originally, so I'll say they used one of the poisons and it's working slowly alongside the wounds.

IC- Heronwing's breath sputtered every second, and her mind was still, but she smiled when she saw Troutstep. She always did. "Just... Thunderc-clan... I guess. The usual on p-patrols... Heh... Heh..." She said slowly. She coughed through her raspy words, blood dripping from her chin. "T... Troutstep...?" She asked, paw gently touching his as tears lightly grasped her eyes.
