Moonkit and Clearkit's Apprentice Ceremony

ooc: Sorry this is late, I've been pretty busy lately.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar yowled.

(Clearkit is dead. Also, do you mind apprenticing Ripplekit(My kitty) too so she can be apprenticed with her brother?)

ooc: I kind of have a policy against asking for other cats to be added in the middle of a ceremony topic, but since you're new, it's okay because you didn't know. Please just PM me next time you want someone to be added to a ceremony.

"Moonkit, Ripplekit, please step forward," beckoned the RiverClan leader.

Firestream settled down with a calm face. She watched Fishstar enthusiastically and waited for the Kits to get their apprentice names.

Heronwing padded out, sitting next to her kits before they went up to receive their names and mentors. It always was an exciting thing for the clans- to have new apprentices to hold the clan up. After days of mourning after Clearkit, she had finally found a way to accept her death and live on, even if it was a heart-wrenching time. But she knew from experience not to grieve for too long, and though she missed Clearkit, she wouldn't spoil anyone else's lives again. So she smiled as her kits became apprentices, her signature big one she always gave.

Moonkit eagerly padded up to where Fishstar was standing. He had been awaiting this day for most of his life and he was very excited that it has finally come. He would finally be taught in the ways of a Riverclan warrior.

Ripplekit followed Moonkit, staring at the ground. How could she become an apprentice without Clearkit? it just felt wrong... No matter how much she willed herself to be happy, she just couldn't. Ripplekit still couldn't accept the fact that Clearkit was dead. I'm going to be an apprentice today. She thought, trying to get her mind off her sister. Everyone's watching us... Ripplekit looked up at Fishstar, trying to look excited. She plastered a thin smile on her muzzle, but it just didn't cut it. It couldn't hide the pain she felt over losing her sister.

"You have both reached the age of six moons," Fishstar said, "and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth until you recieve your warrior named, you shall be known as Moonpaw and Clearpaw. Moonpaw, your mentor shall be Fogheart, and Clearpaw, your mentor shall be Dewpelt. May StarClan guide their teachings."

Troutstep watched his kits in pride although he missed Clearkit dearly. They'll do fine, they have great mentors. He looked to Heronwing with a smile. "Moonpaw! Ripplepaw!" He shouted with the rest of the clan.

Fogheart's ears perked in surprise. She hadn't expected to be receiving an apprentice. The blind warrior opened her maw to scent for the young cat, who she knew probably smelled like her sister, Heronwing. After finding the tom, she somewhat clumsily put her chin on his forehead. "We can train with y'r sister, if y' want." She could sense that it might be difficult trying to train an apprentice that could see, but she would nevertheless try her hardest.

"Moonpaw! Ripplepaw!" Heronwing cheered alongside her clanmates, excited for her kits to become apprentices. The training would be hard, but it'd be worth it. She shared a glance with her mate, then watched her kits, and smiled.

Moonkit was more excited than ever. He had long been awaiting his training to become a warrior and the time had finally come. He did feel the slightest bit sad though. For a moment, he remembered Clearkit and what would've happened if she was still alive, but he decided that he had to be able to get past the feelings and channel them for the sake of himself and the people around him. The shouting of his and his sister's name around the clan encouraged him even further.

"Yes, that would be great"! He said to Fogheart, hearing her after he had been officially deemed an apprentice.
