Ivykit, and Dandelionkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Spottedstar leapt atop the Highrock, calling the clan together. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Thinstripe padded out of the warriors den and sat down under the Highrock, she looked up and waited

Bluesong hurried out of the Warrior's den and made her way over to the Highrock. She sat down next to her old apprentice, Thinstripe, and looked up at Spottedstar with aging blue eyes.

Ryestep came out to see what was going on. Was it time for him to get an apprentice now?

Ivykit's eyes gleamed as she looked up at the Highstone. For once in her life, the unusually calm kit couldn't keep still, and she would either be seen twitched her tail, or shifting her weight from side to side. What mentor would she get? What skills would she learn first? Her eager gaze was fixed on her leader, a thrill rushing throughout her.

Thinstripe smiled at Ivykit "Hey Ivykit do you know what this is?" she murmured into her ear

Dandelionkit charged out of the nursery her head held high and her eyes gleaming. She knew this was her apprentice ceremony and she glanced around at the gathering cats. Which one would be her mentor? She couldn't help but hope that it would be Thinstripe.

Thinstripe smiled at Dandelionkit Am I going to mentor one of them? she kept thinking excitedly

Dandelionkit glanced nervously at Spottedstar, waiting for her leader to conduct the ceremony.

Ivykit glanced over at the older warrior, the first warrior besides her mother and father that she had grown comfortable with. "I-I think it's my apprentice ceremony..." she stammered, looking more and more excited by the second. It was a huge occasion for the kit.

Thinstripe nodded "I wondering who will mentor you" she mewed glancing at back at Dandelionkit

Cloverpool and Moonlight soon joined them. Cloverpool started to groom her daughter's fur and purring the whole time.

Moonlight slipped over to Bluesong her niece, it was weird how her half brothers daughter was older than her.

As the kits came in, she started the ceremony. "Ivykit and Dandelionkit. You have both reached the age of 6 moons and are ready to begin your training. From now on your names shall be Ivypaw, Dandelionpaw. Your mentors will be in order as your names. Ryestep and Thinstripe."

Thinstripe reached her nose out to touch it to Dandelionpaw's

Dandelionpaw rose and touched her nose to Thinstripe's, her tail tip flicking back and forth with excitement.  She was an apprentice!  And Thinstripe, the first cat in ThunderClan who had been nice to her, was her mentor!
