Mosspaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Mosspaw came out onto the clearing, approaching Thrushstar and sitting beneath the Jaggedrock.

Silverfern ran out to watch her sister earn her name. I'm so happy for her! She took a place next to Mosspaw.

"Tonight we gather to make this apprentice a warrior," he said. "Mosspaw, please step forward."

Flashing her sister an excited look, she stepped forward and looked up at Thrushstar for the ceremony to begin.

"Mosspaw, do you promise to serve and protect this clan, as well as uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your own life?" He asked, studying the apprentice carefully.

"I do." The ginger she-cat said with certainty. She knew that Thrushstar was having trouble trusting the clan, and she had no intentions of furthering his concerns. His words about kin being nothing had stung her badly, to hear such words from her own grandfather whom she'd looked up to. Till the end of her days, she'd be loyal to her clan, ShadowClan and uphold the principals which her ancestors have stood for.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Mosspaw, from now on you will be known as Mossheart. We welcome you as a full warrior of Shadowclan," he said before leaping down and crawling right back into his den.
