Medicine Cat Meeting 2/8/16

Oceanpaw followed. She crept into the dark cave to find the light of the moonstone. She felt nice watching the moon rise.

There was a strange set of footsteps echoing throughout the tunnel sometime. Every now and then, a mysterious grunt or ow would sound in the Mothermouth. It must have seemed very weird at first until the source of the noise finally made his appearance. Duskpaw finally reached the end of the cavern, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath. It looked as if he ran to all of StarClan and back. "Is... Am... Am I too late?" The tom muttered, padding up beside the stone. "I... I got a little lost..." His belt burned with embarrassment.

Silverpaw blinked in surprise as the pawsteps revealed them self to be Duskpaw. "Oh! You made it! We're about to, um, s-start...?" She said, ready to begin, glad that he was able to come- she was wondering if he'd not been able to find the way again. She flicked her tail for him to join, a smile on her face, as she turned to press her nose against the moonstone again. Soon, she would begin to dream...

Dreamleaf pressed her nose against the Moonstone and sank into blackness. She felt the ground give way beneath her paws and soon she was standing in complete darkness. She waited for something to happen, and something did happen. It was almost inevitable, something that frightened the young Medicine Cat. The darkness seemed to roll away and what took place was terrifying. Instead of the lush beauty of Starclan, she stood in a forest, black fog threading its way through the trees like giant snakes. Dreamleaf caught her breath as the faint echo of cats yelping and shrieking pierced the air. Thoughts of murder and death rushed into her mind. Dreamleaf tried to shake the thoughts from her head, but they stuck. Dreamleaf looked up, but there was nothing but a sense of dread. Trees massed together and created an almost impenetrable barrier so a cat couldn't see the sky above. Dreamleaf couldn't tell if it was night or day in her dream, but had the faintest hint that was night. Dreamleaf forgot she was still holding her breath, and she let it out in a loud exhale. She had heard stories of a place, not Starclan, but where the evil cats went. But why would Starclan send her here? A distant wail resonated through the clearing she was in. Then a whisper. Dreamleaf tried to move but was stuck to the spot she was in.
"Beware, Dreamleaf. Those who stray from the path of stars, risk being swallowed by the darkness," the whisper stated then vanished. Dreamleaf shut her eyes, hoping to get out of this horrid place. The calico she-cat waited... and waited... but nothing seemed to happened, the wails and cries of cats stinging the silence.

OOC: I hope that sounded good, hehe, been reading some horror stories and stuff and I guess i'm kind of accustomed to this sort of thing.

Oceanpaw touched her nose to the cold stone. She shivered as the coldness flowed though her body. She soon fell asleep. She woke up in a forest, most of it being pitch black. She looked up. There was no light from the moon or stars, for the dead trees formed a barrier from the beautiful sky. Fog blew across the air like millions of big snakes. She had the slightest hint that it was night. The only glow in this forest was the sheets of moss on the trees. She heard about a place that when evil cats die, they don't go to StarClan, but a forest like this. Why would StarClan send her here? Faint voices of cries and wails broke the silence. She tried to run, but something held her back, even though she didn't feel anything. Suddenly, a voice was behind her. She turned back, and she saw a cat made of fog. "Beware, Oceanpaw. Those who stray from the path of stars, risk being swallowed by the darkness." it said. A breeze flew in, and the cat made of fog disappeared. She waited and waited for her to wake up, but she was still trapped inside the darkness.

Silverpaw soon sunk into sleep, greeted by Starclan. In a rush to meet them, they slipped from view and it was all taken over by pitch black, hard to see. Her eyes soon adjusted to it, and it appeared to be a thick forest full of twisting trees and sharp ends. Cautiously, she padded forward, where pale light washed over her. Three Starclan cats spoke in unison: "Beware, Silverpaw! Those who stray from the path of the stars risk being swallowed by the darkness..." At these words, Silverpaw squeaked in fright, where the blackness once again took over, and she was left to shiver in fright in the empty darkness.
