Another Day in RiverClan

Palefrost tiredly opened one eye, then the other, blinking. She yawned and stood, stretching. The gray she-cat padded out of the den, blinking the sunlight out of her eyes. She smiled when she head birds chirping brightly. Grabbing a piece of fresh kill, she lay down, eyes wandering over the cats milling around the camp. A voice startled her out of her thoughts.

Troutstep found himself sitting beside the freshkill pile, staring at the food. He wasn't particularly hungry but his mouth watered at the sight of the food. Fine. He thought glumly, grabbing a scrawny fish that an apprentice probably caught. He laid down a little ways from the pile and started picking away at the fish. Troutstep noticed Palefrost but with all that was going on, he didn't know what to say if a conversation started.
