| Spottedstar leapt atop the Highrock, calling the clan together for her grandkits ceremony.
Echostrike drug her kits out of the nursery, licking them all over. "Oh shush it and stop complaining you twits" she grimaced, but still had her own type of motherly affection. ______________________________________ |

| Gingerkit gave a light hiss at Echostrike as she was assaulted violently by her mothers tongue, cursing silently at the evil fiend she sped away towards the highrock, backing up a few paces so she could actually see the leader above her. And, in her own defiance ruffled out her fur with a snort. |

| Dewkit did her best to shrug off her mother's attempts at cleaning her pelt. An angry huff formed in her chest, but she didn't let it out because she didn't want to anger her mother, especially in the middle of crowd. She hurried forward after Gingerkit and shook her fur short fur loose, letting it look the way it naturally did. IC: As the kits came in, she started the ceremony. "Gingerkit and Dewkit. You have both reached the age of 6 moons and are ready to begin your training. From now on your names shall be Gingerpaw and Dewpaw. Your mentors will be in order as your names. Beanfoot, and then I, Spottedstar." She jumped down from her Highrock and reached down halfway to touch noses and waited for Dewpaw to cover the other half of the distance.

| Dewpaw hesitated a moment, not expecting Spottedstar to stop halfway. Spottedstar was a pretty big cat, and Dewpaw was very little for a new apprentice. She struggled to reach her leader's nose with her own, then settled back down onto her haunches to wait quietly for Spottedstar's next move. | Gingerkit, no, she was a paw now; eyes widening in shock, no way! Why did Dewpaw have to be mentored by Spottedstar? Grumbling she shoved her sister and grumbled "Lucky furr-ball." Before getting to her paws and touching noses with Beanfoot. Oh well, she guessed she should be proud for her sister.
Beanfoot stood agape, another apprentice? And one from Echostrike, the cat his mother mentored? He suddenly felt weigh'd down with expectation, especially from Echostrike. He'll have to train her hard wouldn't he? Blinking down at Gingerpaw he schooled his face into a calm but also kind of stern expression and meeting her nose, always thinking: 'What would hiss mother do?' |
