StarClan Save Us [Leaffall/bare is Hell for TC, Final Plot]

"Cloverpool," Frozenflame yowled as she kept going back into the water to save  others. "Stop, you'll..." before he could say 'drown', the rock shifted and then was swept away by the current. The warrior was thrown off and sucked into the water, terrified as he heard his name called out by his son. He kicked out helplessly with his legs to try and swim the way he had come, but was unable. His only other option was to go with the flow of the water. He pushed himself up to the surface and sucked in a breath of air before going back under to find Ravenpaw. His eyes burnt from being open in the dirty water, but he frantically looked around for the apprentice anyway. Ravenpaw was just up ahead, moving with the current of the water and passed out.

Frozenflame swam forward and clamped his teeth on Ravenpaw's scruff, pulling him above the water for air. "Come on, wake up, Ravenpaw! Breathe! You are okay now," the tom said through Ravenpaw's fur. Now that Ravenpaw was safe, it was time to worry about Cloverpool again. "Cloverpool, where are you?" he called out. "I don't want to loose you!" It was a struggle to stay afloat with the weight of another cat attached to him, but Frozenflame managed.

IC: Gasping for air, he thanked Frozenflame quietly. "Thank you, Frozenflame. I'm okay now," Ravenpaw assured the warrior, smiling gently. He pulled out of Frozenflame's grasp and quickly swam around, trying to help find Cloverpool. "Cloverpool, Cloverpool! Cloverpool! Cloverpool!" Called the apprentice, glancing around, a feeling of grief stabbing him worse then the tugging waves. He quickly thought of a plan.

Purposely swimming to the depths of the 'river', he sank his claws into the soft dirt. Ravenpaw was planning to hold on and grab Cloverpool, but the plan failed in several negative ways. 1) He was almost out of breath, 2) it was cold water and he risked hypothermia (if that's possible) 3) the water pulled his claws out of the earth, causing him to tumble around underneath the wavelike movements the water made. Bubbles popping as he used the last bits of air his lungs could hold, he, using his strong legs, managed to tiredly heave himself to the surface. Panting, he wondered when the Clan was going to end.

Ravenpaw's fur slicked onto his bony frame. You could nearly see his ribs; Leafbare was not good for food. "I'm so tired..." He murmured to himself, sad thoughts consuming him. Eyelids closing, he allowed the water to carry him along to the depths of hell.

She hated to admit it, but Cobrapaw had made it easier for her to move forward. Darkflight struggled to keep her head above the wretched water, and a glint of light ahead drained all the hope from her body that she would reach her clanmates so far ahead. It was a great branch, twisting and turning in the water as it sped down, creating a froth that absolutely stank. She tried drifting downstream, but discovered her paw was caught between a rock and a hard place (the wall). It was so dark in here, she could barely tell when it would hit her, and when it did, it hit hard.

The she-cat tumbled through the water. All she could hear was a high-pitched noise coming from her own ears. The yowls of her clanmates were distant. "Keep awake!" she urged herself. Her head broke through the surface enough for her to breathe and give a quiet "Help," before she went under again.

ooc- she ain't gonna die. she'll be the first to wash out.

Cloverpool burst out of the water after being washed down and trying to get back to the surface. She heard Frozenflame and Ravenpaw calling her name. "I'm here!" She meowed and saw Ravenpaw passed out in the water. "Ravenpaw!!" She swam over to him and heaved him to the surface draping him over her back. "Ravenpaw breathe!" She meowed frantically starting to get pulled down stream.

Cucumberpaw yelped in surprise as the rock was swept away. She surfaced after a bit of struggling. "Cloverpool!! Where are you!!" The cream  She cat meowed her pale blue eyes wide with fear of drowning. She was swept down so far that she could see some light from the morning light. She gasped as her eyes were assaulted from the light and she squinted until her eyes adjusted.

"Ravenpaw hang on!" Cloverpool meowed as she was swept after her sister. "Cucumberpaw!!" She meowed as her eyes adjusted to the harsh light from the sun. "Ughhhh..." She meowed squinting.

Soon enough Cobrapaw felt the rock slip from under her and she was once again plunged into the filthy water. Once again she sank for a moment before struggling to the swim to the surface catching a breathe of air just before she was about to slip back under. Just as she didnshe saw a light and tried to stay at the surface of the water. She tried to get her eyes to adjust to the harsh morning light that had shined in her eyes. She just tried to stay up on the surface of the water as she was swept down with the water towards the light.

Bluesong dove back under as she clamped her jaws onto Dreampaw's scruff. Bluesong let out a silent Yelp as she wasn't expecting the weight from the other she-cat. Why did the apprentice have to be so fluffy... Bluesong finally made her way up and she sucked in breath through the sections of her mouth that weren't completely filled with Dreampaw's fur.

Spottedstar hadn't a chance to barely open her eyes before water rushed her away. Panic was everywhere, but she had few agenda. Darkflight, she saw the she-cat go under after trying to hold Cobrapaw, and she swam towards her. She saw her jaw move in a mew, but the water rushed the words away. Diving under, she grabbed the furry scruff, and yanked, feeling a tug, as if she was stuck. Yanking again, she felt the water rush them away, and she clawed for the surface. Gasping at the air, she moved Darkflight onto her shoulder, sinking herself into the water more. She could barely breath, but saw an opening in the dark tunnel. Paddling closer to it, she barely held her head up with the wait of the she-cat she was carrying.

Nightfire looked around, and saw Bluesong struggle to hold Dreampaw above the water, pushing against the rocks or ground barely beneath him, he snatched Dreampaw away from Bluesong, and shoved her onto his broad back. He didn't have as much trouble holding her, but the water kept pushing him down and away. He barely saw his mother heading towards a small light, and he quickly followed her lead.

It was... Rather quiet, strangely. When he was under water, he could hear people swishing about in the filthy water, and could make out their figures slightly. He wasn't passed out, just a little... limp. But soon, he couldn't breathe and he stuck his head up again, gasping for air. Storm... Stormpaw... He needs... Help... He heaved, and went underwater again, each movement of his legs pulsing with all the strength he could muster. He finally reached Stormpaw, but his rescue was to no avail. As he opened his eyes above water, he could not feel a heartbeat, he could not feel any coughing, sputtering of water. He was dead. No... No... Why? Why has Starclan taken his life? How many more will they... No. I can't... I can't allow any more lives to be taken.

He hung on to Stormpaw's limp body, a few tears let loose. He had just become friends with all the apprentices, and... Now this. "S-Stormpaw... I-I'm so, s-so sor- Hrrk!" He squealed, as his body was plunged under as another large torrent pulled him underwater. He thrashed, trying to cling on to the apprentices body as to stay afloat and to make sure they would get out and give him a proper burial. If there was an 'out' anyway. He struggled more, accidentally breathing in some water. He reached air again, but it was growing thin, and there was barely a ten inches to make space for his maw to breathe air in from. Sputtering, coughing and wheezing, he called for help. Frozenflame... Cloverpool... Spottedstar... Nightfire... Dreampaw... Anyone...

Bluesong was relieved of Dreampaw's weight and she gave a quick nod to Nightfire as she looked for the others. She saw Blackpaw going under and Cobrapaw slip into the water. Blue songs head suddenly went light and she felt strength deep into her as her adrenaline kicked in. Bluesong, however, tried to reach for Blackpaw but a current of water tugged her down. No!

Dreampaw's eyes cracked open and she nearly had a heart attack. Water rushed all around her but she felt fur beneath her. The apprentice, thinking fast, decided to stay as still as possible. She finally realized that she was ion Nightfire's back. Dreampaw thought about how useless she was being but remember her scratch. She looked around and saw all the frantic cats and she let out a strangled cry of horror as she saw several cats get cat under the water. And... where were they?

Miles was taken completely by surprise. Of course he was, he was blind and weakened by the infection that seeped into his eyes. The young elder was swept from the place he rested, oblivious to what the force was that rammed him against other cats and filled his sensitive ears with a horrible roar. The tomcat was dragged under the force, realizing only as it filled his mouth and lungs that the terrible force was water, bitter cold and consuming. His body was battered painfully as he hit other cats, knocking out any breath he might have had within him. Soon, all the feeling escaped him. Miles was numb from the cold, but he could still feel himself being spun and thrown about in the water. Everything was going quiet. The drumming in his ears was fading, as well as the last ounce of pain he could feel in his sightless eyes. It was scary, but only in the beginning. Now he only felt eerily calm as his body flowed on while his spirit departed.

Blackpaw noticed Bluesong reach for him. He tried his best to swim against the waves to reach her, but it was too hard on his small body. "H-Help..." He said weakly, his paws trying to hold on to Stormpaw and reach for Bluesong. He finally grabbed her paw and tried to pull her head up by pulling up the rest of her body. "S-Stormpaw... I... He... I.. I can't hold on m-much longer, he's too heavy... Blues-song... Can-" He muttered, but his words were washed away by another disgusting wave. He was then forced to loosen his grip on Stormpaw. The other apprentice nearly flew out of his paws. Between the weight of Bluesong and Stormpaw, he knew he was going to be dragged under. But he couldn't do anything now, as the water splashed over his head again.

He tried his very best to pull Bluesong up, but he couldn't tell if he was doing it right due to his lack of vision at the moment. One of his front legs held on to Stormpaw's limp neck, and it was a firm grip- it wouldn't let go that easily. "Blue... Bluesong...? Did... I pull y-you up...?" He asked loudly, as he was blinded by water splashing in his face. Stormpaw was secure in his front leg, and he still held on to Bluesong, hoping for the best.

Viperfang, while he hadn't been to fond of the loner elder, had long since accepted him as a fixture in their clan. The tom dove underneath the water after the reddish tom when he left, trying to pull him back to the surface in a futile attempt to save him. But rather than succeed, the under current deep below flipped him over. The was a burst of blinding pain as his skull dashed against the bottom of the stony hollow, blood didn't spill, but the tom went limp as his neck fractured from the force. His body remained alive, just barely, but the tom was long since brain dead.

Featherpaw was also asleep in her nest when the waters came crashing down. The she-cat resisted the waves, staying on top of them just barely, gasping at the water that was crushing her. She was convinced she was going to die, never before had she ever swum. But before she could drown, her father, Duskfall yanked her up, pulling her above the waters. She clung to him, letting his weight presence give her a bit of comfort in the choppy, terrifying waters. Swimming around, almost used to being dunked and dumped in rapid waters by now, he went to aid any kits or apprentices he could see. Get them balanced before leaving to help another. Once you got the floating correct, it was easier to remain on top.

"Don't-! Don't give up! This hollow can't go on fore- ugh!" Duskfall yowled as he was dumped outside when the light at the end of the tunnel tossed them over what felt like a water fall into a pond of sorts. The impact of hitting the still water was enough to knock the breath out of him, but he managed to wade enough to get upright and breath. He looked around around at the writhing masses of cat with relief, at least they lived, but his joy was short lived when he saw limp bodies float over. Viperfang, Miles... And how many more died but haven't come through. "ThunderClan here!" He shouted, voice hoarse as he dragged himself to the shallows.

He'd only meant to bring them to a place to avoid illness and the cold, but he'd lead them to their deaths.

"Duskfall!!" Cloverpool meowed and waded through the shallow water towards the Tom. "Are you alright? Have you seen Stormpaw?" The tortisehell warrior meowed worried for her grandson and the former deputy.

Cucumberpaw made sure that Darkflight and Dreampaw were ok while her sister went over to a dark brown warrior.

Bluesong coughed.
"I-it's good, Blackpaw!" her head snapped sideways at the sound of Duskfall's voice. She looked at Blackpaw. She grabbed Stonepaw and put the apprentice on her back then she grabbed Blackpaw.
"Ok. Just hold on," Bluesong hissed and she plunged back into the water. Her newfound energy kept her upright, sometimes slightly tilting under the weight but she managed to stay up with the rushing current. She fought the force of the water as she paddled onward. She let out a strangled cry as she thrown downwards into the pond. She hit it with her side and her mouth opened to let out quiet cry of pain at the force of the fall. Bluesong struggled to upright herself and she checked to make sure both Stonepaw and Blackpaw were okay. She turned her head to look at Duskfall. Pain throbbed in her side but she pushed it away for now.

OOC: Duskfall is still deputy at this point, he will resign and leave in another topic set after this plot.

"I'm fine. And no, I haven't." The tom meowed concern, looking over at the gushing hollow that was spewing out cat after cat. It was heartbreaking, only being able to look and not help anyone who remained stuck in the hollow, how many were dead already. How many had drowned in the rushing waters, lost forever in the murky depths. But when Bluesong spilled out, he shook his head to clear it, this wasn't the time to get all depressed. The deputy bound into the waters, parting it with relative ease since it was mostly still beyond the spillage. He grasped the she-cat by the scruff, helping her up onto the shore. "Help them get on dry land and get warm, Cloverpool. The last thing we need is everyone getting Greencough."

Featherpaw crawled out of the water drenched, fur wetly clinging to her small frame and making her seem thinner than ever. She was scared, and lost, what would they do now? Their camp was their home, she'd never lived anywhere else but the Stony Hollow. The silver she-cat shivered, curling in on herself in fear and shock.
