Ice Fishing and Family Matters (Closed)

"True. A lot had happened over the moons. But if you think about it, there are so many half blood cats all around us." He gave a slight smile, swiping another fish swiftly out of the water. "I guess we just have to learn to accept it."

"I... I guess so." He said. "I wish I could apologize now, but... She's already with Skyclan. She's been with their side for a few days now, so, I... I dunno..." He mewed, eyes drifting to the water as he searched for fish.


OOC- Assuming she's in SkC because she's in a topic about joining.

"Maybe at a gathering you'll be able to see her." He meowed. Assuming she will talk to you... A twinge of doubt was always pulling at his pelt. "So, I see ice fishing is doing you well." He wanted to change the subject before things got all soggy. "You may be good, but you still have much to learn young skywalker."

He nodded, but turned his attention away. "Thanks." He said in response to his words. Another thing went to trouble him- he'd been keeping a little secret for a bit.


OOC- It's fine, and sorry for no color, the thing isn't opening.

Troutstep looked back to the frozen water. From all their meowing, most of the fish had been scared away. "Argh." He grumbled peering at the water.

ooc- ive been talking with swankit and she said reed hasnt left yet and might not (we doing a troutxreed topic) also huge writers block rn so sorry for sh1tty post.

"I... Have something to tell you." He said, blushing a bit on his face. No one had noticed his secret unless they were extremely close friends with Gingerspot. He turned to Troutstep and watched him fish.


OOC- Oh Okay.

Troutstep looked to Fallenblaze a brow raised. "Yes? What is it?" He wondered what the tom wanted to tell him and could sense a wave of nervousness around him.

"W-Well, um..." He started to his uncle, a little nervous to explain his secret. "Well...M-Me and Gingerspot are expecting k-kits." He said, his blush growing a bit. His uncle, Troutstep, would be the first one to know. The two cats had mated for the sake of the clan, to provide strength and happiness. He liked her a lot, but really, it was their shared idea of Riverclan's empowerment that blossomed forth the idea of more kits. He wasn't entirely sure if he loved her yet, but... They were having kits, so he supposed he should.


OOC- Gingerspot is an NPC, by the way.

A soft smile grew on Troutstep's muzzle. "That's wonderful!" He exclaimed. "But why do you sound ashamed? More kit's for the clan is wonderful!"

He was happy that Troutstep was happy, too. At his next question, he shrugged. "I... I dunno. Things have been confusing me lately, and I... I don't know what to think." He responded truthfully, still worried for some reason.

"What is there to be confused about? Honestly. You're confusing me even more." He chuckled lightly though was curious what Fallenblaze meant.

He shrugged. "With all that's going on now, I think it's made a mark on me. And you, too. With these... New kits... I'm worried, I suppose. I'm sure that's understandable- you had Patchpaw. But... But maybe, you didn't deal with the same things." He went on, soon finishing. Everything seemed to go dark around him but Troutstep and himself. So many things could trouble a cat, he wondered how he still pulled through.

OOC- Ddddddrama! So Fallenblaze is bipolar and has mild depression, so he's basically concerned about how he'll do as a father and good warrior.

Troutstep thought about what the tom said. I didn't think Patchpaw left yet. "Well, I'm kinda in the same situation as you." He gave a sigh. "I'm the cat who loves his Brother's daughters." Troutstep knew that Fallenblaze probably already knew this. "They are technically not my true kin, but it's the principle of the thing."

OOC- *have Patchpaw

IC- He blinked, and the statement brought him back. He smiled a bit, nodding at his words. He shifted in place, inknowing of what to do.

OOC2- Sorry, I'm Suffering From Writers Block.

"Well, we might as well brig this back to the clan." He meowed, swipping one more fish from the water and looking at the pile of fish he and Fallenblaze had cought.
