Snowpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Breezestar stepped into the center of the camp clearing. "Let all cats of SkyClan old enough to catch their own prey come forward for a clan meeting!" He yowled.

Snowpaw walked over to the crowd of gathering cats. Why would Breezestar call a meeting? she wondered, not remembering that Sandfeather told her she would talk to Breezestar about her ceremony.

"Today, we welcome another honorable, hard-working warrior among out ranks." He called out, "Snowpaw, would you please step forward?"

Once she had done so, Breezestar looked to the sky and spoke on. "I Breezestar, leader of SkyClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend her to you now in her turn." His blue gaze fell again, landing on the white she-cat. "Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?"

Snowpaw felt super anxious, but she hid it. "I do, Breezestar!" she called out.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your Warrior name. Snowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Snowstorm. StarClan honors your courage and kindness, and we welcome you as a full member of SkyClan." The tom leapt down and greeted her, resting his chin on her head.

The newly named Snowstorm felt proud and, of course, glad. She looked at the crowd of cats cheering, "Snowstorm! Snowstorm! Snowstorm!" She looked back to see a kit coming towards her.

Oceankit walked over to Snowstorm. "Congratulations, Snowstorm! That's one more warrior for SkyClan!" she mewed anxiously.
