The New Light

Lightkit walked across the damp, dewy, grass and looked around her surrondings. She wished that she was sleeping in the apprentice's den. She was tired of being cooped up in the crowded nursery. She wanted something more exciting to do, something more train-y-ish. Though she did adore her mother's delicious milk, and her nice cozy, bedding with her mother all to herself. Okay, fine, there was some good things about the nursery, but still, it wasn't the same as being an apprentice. Lightkit knew that she could not stay out here for much longer. In fact, she could hear heavy paw steps coming from the nursery.

The mother of the rather adventurous kit quickly padded out of the darkened nursery. "Lightkit, come inside, please. I don't feel that safe with you being outside at this time. Plus, you are very young. Come on inside. And it's cold!" She sighed, a feeling of insecurity washing over her.

"Hello mommy." A diluted Gray and black calico meowed, flicking her tail as her sky blue eyes caught the sunlight. Willowshine smiled at her new baby sister as she came out of the nursery, worried that her mother was going to get cold. The new queen sat next to her mother and pressed her pelt to her mother's in order to make sure she was warm.

"Hello." Said a polite she-kit, her light green eyes scanning the cats. The Skyclan kitten had recently been born and was looking forward to a happy, fun time with some new friends. Lightkit was new too, from what she had known. Since the two clans were sharing camp together, she only found it settling that she create friendships.

The small, multi-colored she-cat let out a small smile, and looked to the queens. They seem nice.

OOC: I believe Riverclan and Skyclan are sharing camp- they are, right? I'm too lazy to check right now.

A new kit, sounds nice, thought Lightkit. Ohh! We can go to the river and fish when we are older, and we can go hunting and we can climb the trees and swim and play Mossball forever as friends! We can fight together and save RiverClan! This is going to be so much fun! With a smile on her face, she purred at the thought. "Hi! I'm Lightkit! Nice to meet you! What do you wanna do? What do you wanna do? Huh? Huh?" She questioned quickly, prancing around, analysing the new kit, who was unknowingly from SkyClan. Mossball! "I don't wanna go inside. It's not cold." She insisted, pulling away from her mother.

"Nice to meet you too. Um, how about-" Mottlekit started, but was interrupted soon after with another - 'What do you want to do? Huh? Huh?' "Mossball?" She asked quietly, her friendly gaze scanning the other she-kit.

Willowshine giggled. "Why don't you ask Pearlkit if she'd like to play with you?" She smiled at the Skyclan kit. She was glad that Skyclan was here, Willowshine had always liked to help others, and this was her way of helping I guess.

"Ask me what?" A silver kit meowed poking her head out of the nursery to hear what was being said. She blinked her greenish-yellow eyes and her eyes landed on the younger kits. She sighed,  She was supposed to be an apprentice four moons ago built instead she was confined to the nursery, not able to be training with her father Troutstep, well adopted father, she was to young to remember what was happening at the time when her mother died and Troutstep had always taken care of her. "Mossball? Aunt Willowshine I'm to big for that game!"

"Nobody's to big for that game Pearlkit. I know you want to be an apprentice and have been waiting for many many moons but be patient and enjoy your time with us in camp." The calico chided turning her sky blue gaze on her niece.

"Oh, alright. But I'm not going to like this...." Pearlkit meowed unwillingly. She shuffled over to where the 2 kits were trying to get a perfect conversation.

"Can I play mossball with you guys?",asked Pearlkit with not a lot of enthusiasm. She was hoping for a negative answer.

"Of course, Pearlkit!"Lightkit said enthusiastically."The more the merrier!". Lightkit padded over to the corner of the nursery and sat down. Mottlekit and Pearlkit followed quickly.

After a long time of playing of mossball, Pearlkit decided that maybe mossball was fun after all.

OOC: Can you please not role play me and Smoked's characters? That's god modding and its against the rules.

IC: Mottlekit followed slowly, her gaze dim. Ive never played before- I hope it's fun!

IC: Salmonstripe pressed against Willowshine and purred silently while gazing at Lightkit. "She really needs to be more social..." Murmured Salmonstripe, shaking her head disapproval-ly.

OOC2: Shortness is BADD

"I know mom but she can't help it if Troutstep adopted her after Slushfang died." Willowshine whispered the last part not wanting Pearlkit to know what happened.

Pearlkit sighed. "Fine but it doesn't mean I have to like it.." The silver kit meowed glumly. She padded over to where the other kits were playing. "Can I play with you guys..?" Please say no please say no.. She thought while waiting for an answer.

Troutstep slumped out of the warriors den, looking around the clearing for his kits. "Hello Pearlkit." He purred, sitting a little ways from the group of kits. The tom tryed to be nice, though he was still angry about the whole sharing a camp thing.
