| Mudfoot woke with the sun and trotted over to the apprentice den. "Barkpaw, get up." He meowed softly, peeping his head in and the walking back to the camp clearing. Today, he hoped that him and his apprentice would have louds if fun training.

Barkpaw woke up, ready for a new day. Unlike Dunepaw, he was always ready to wake up, and move on. Barkpaw pawed his way outside to the camp clearing."What are we doing today???" he asked excitingly to Mudfoot.

| Barkpaw suddenly wasn't hungry. He followed Mudfoot out of the camp. "What are we doing first???" he asked. "I hope it will be battle training!"

| "Woah there, slow down tiger." The tom chuckled walking out of camp. "We need to warm up a bit." After a bit of walking into the dense forest, Mudfoot stopped and sat down. "Go catch at least two pieces of prey. Don't worry where I am, I'll be observing you." He gave a soft, reassuring smile to the apprentice. |

| Barkpaw walked away,searching for the rustle of prey moving about. Then he heard a scruuring of a small animal.A mouse! When the mouse poked its head from the tree's roots, Barkpaw punced on the mouse,caught it, and bit it in the neck.I got one!! Barkpaw then saw a vole, and pounced on it. He missed, and the vole scurried away.Ok, take it slow he thought. Then he saw another vole, and this time he stalked it, until he was in claw reach. Then he brought his paw switfly down, and dispatched the vole.I guess I'll sit here and wait for Mudfoot.Barkpaw sat, waiting for Mudfoot to apprear.

| Mudfoot followed his apprentice silently, watching as he caught the prey. The tom finally showed himself and walked through a bush to Barkpaw. "Wow, great catch. Good hunting time too." He smiled looking down at the prey. "Why don't we patrol the border on our way the the training hollow?" |
