The Wandering Tree (Open)

Ever since they'd been taken in by Riverclan, Pinepaw desperately wanted to visit his clan's territory again. Riverclan felt wrong to him in so many ways, sure the cats were accepting of them, but the lack of trees, the fish, and the fact his paws were always damp sickened him. He was meant to climb trees for birds and squirrels, not dive into water for whatever slimy creature he found at the bottom. So, while his clanmates slept, he crept through the path his clanmates had made not too long ago until he passed the faded scent marks that told him he was in Skyclan territory. His clan's territory. The tomcat immediately felt the sense of stress he'd held since they'd moved leave him with a deep sigh.

The apprentice's head jerked up at an unnatural sound near him. Fearing it might be a Windclan patrol, he fled up the nearest tree until he was halfway to the top. His grip was weak, however, since he never really learned how to correctly climb using Riverclan's strange trees.

Lilypaw who had been had been tired of just about everything of Riverclan had decided to venture into her clan's territory. Though as she had she had spotted Pinepaw and decided to follow him. She managed to follow him to the territory though she stepped on something which made a noise. She blinked her green eyes watching as he moved up the tree. She laughed a little bit"Relax Pinepaw its just me"She mewed calling up to him in the tree.

Once the short burst of adrenaline had subsided, he recognized the cat below him as Lilypaw. He stood straight up on the branch, returning to a calm state. "Better safe than sorry." Pinepaw hopped to the bottom branch and sat, paws hanging off the edge. The bark felt nice and rough against his pelt, in contrast to the almost muddy ground in Riverclan territory.

"Why not you come up here with me? There might be birds." His tail swished in the slightly chilly breeze.

"Yeah thats true better safe then sorry"Lilypaw mewed with a smiled. When he asked her to jion him she smiled and nodded the prospect of birds egging her up the tree. She smiled and climbed up the tree geeting on the lowest branch nearby. She smiled some"so birds you say wanna try and catch one?"She asked with a smile.
