Smokepaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath High Rock for a clan meeting!" Duskfall yowled as he leapt up onto High Rock for the clan to gather. It was time for another Warrior Ceremony.

Bluesong padded over to Duskfall and sat down.

Smokepaw padded out of the apprentices den and sat down by Bluesong.

"Smokepaw, please step forward." Duskfall asked, looking over with pride at the apprentice. He'd certainly proven himself a fine warrior, and so he was proud to be holding this ceremony. The apprentice had earnt it.

Smokepaw stepped forward.

"I, Duskfall, deputy of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." The deputy looked to the heavens as he spoke before ending by locking eyes with the apprentice. The question he was going to ask him was key, and would define his future for the rest of his life. "Smokepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
