| Marigoldleaf awoke from her den. She walked over to the apprentice's den and stuck her had inside. "Pssst... Mudpaw! Get up! It's time for your assesment" She whispered, and then sat outside, waiting for her apprentice.

| Marigoldelaf nodded in return. "You have until sundown to catch three pieces of prey. I will be watching you. Meet me back here when you are done." Marigoldleaf bounded into the woods, hoping that was enough explanation.

| Wow! That's like what. Half a day to catch 3 pieces of prey? I can do better than that! He gave a nod to his mentor before she ran off. Hmm, were to start... The tom trotted out of camp, towards his favorite hunting spot. It was a bit farther than he would have liked to go, but it had the best prey. Before he caught the scent of a vole, the tom crowed down, and started stalking around. He soon found the vole he was looking for and within a moment, it was in his jaws and neatly buried. After an hour or so, (do cat's know time? ;w;) the apprentice had successfully caught 2 more voles and a squirrel, but missed another squirrel in the process. Mudpaw buried all his prey, but wasn't sure if he should bring it to camp or not. He decided to keep it hidden, and he trotted back to camp happily, looking for Marigoldleaf. |

| Seeing Mudpaw walking back to camp, Marigoldleaf followed and joined him at the entrance of the camp sitting next to him as the sun neared its set. "Great job today."
