Slushpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted over the camp.

Slushpaw ran over to the willow branch with a smile. She sat in the front row. This was the first time this moon she smiled.

"Slushpaw, please step forward," Fishstar beckoned.

Troutstep gathered with the crowd, watching Slushpaw in silence as she received her warrior name.

Slushpaw stepped forward, a smile crept uno her face. She waited.

Barrenpaw was sitting next to Troutstep, watching with joy in his eyes to see his best friend-and future mate-become a warrior. She's so beautiful, he thought.

"I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan," Fishstar began, focusing on the apprentice of the hour, "call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Slushpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

IC: With thought and consideration when Fishstar began to speak, Slushpaw nodded. With the two words she spoke, she gave her life to Riverclan. At that very moment, she was a warrior. "I do." She said, her voice filled with no shakes of nervousness. She was ready to take on the forest.

Fishstar nodded down at the younger she-cat. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Slushpaw, from htis moment onwards you shall be known as Slushfang. RiverClan honours your strength and loyalty."

"Thank you, Fishstar." The newly named Slushfang said, her eyes gleaming. She touched noses with her and looked down at the clan.
