No regrets~

After a few moons of secretly seeing Larktalon, Fawnwillow knew she was expecting. After her first litter, Mothpaw and Whitekit, she couldn't miss the signs. Of course she was worried, he was of Skyclan! But this was a blessing, since she always did want more kits. She had stopped seeing Larktalon sometime ago since she was getting awfully big, I'll tell him when the time is right. Sleeping peacefully in her nest she was awoken by the terrible pains of labor. Grunting in an effort not to yowl her head off she meekly called for Nightfire, "Nightfire! It's time" She mewed desperately.

A yellow tabby awoke to screams and cries of his mentor's, leaving him to wonder, Who is her mate? Summitwind died! He raced into the nursery, usually where his mate would stay when she was a queen. "Fawnwillow! Are you alright?"

Pinning her ears she growled, "Does it look like I'm alright?" She began panting as the pains increased, usually she was an even-tempered sweet cat. But labor has a funny way of changing moods.

Blue paw woke up to the sound of yowling. She junped up and raced to the nursery.

Fawnwillow's sides heaved as she gasped for breath, the pain was hard but she can endure. Leaf-green eyes blazing she pleaded for Goldenflame's help. Where's Nightfire? It's too late, the kit(s) were coming now.

A brown cat with black marking and a white belly slid out onto the ground. It wailed for a moment before rustling around. It had a very tiny tail, a stump. He squirmed to his mother and began suckling.

Fawnwillow craned her neck to look at her newborn, He's so handsome! Purring she gently rasped her tongue over his still slick pelt. Curling her thick brown tail around him for extra warmth, her eyes full of love she mewed softly. "I think I'll call you Marshkit." He reminds me of his father! I hope no one will notice.

Bluepaw watched from the entrance quietly.
