I'm new to WCC and wondered if anyone had tips for beginners or wanted to become friends. Blush
I'm still kind of shy about posting..

I have a tip!

Here:

Use your writing skills. Everyone enjoys good writing.

And, make at least one cat friendly.

And, that concludes my tips. Hope they help!

Hey! Thanks for coming to ask us this. I'm glad there are some people out there that actually care about how to role play in the most beneficial way.
Also, you don't need a friendly cat at all. If all cats were friendly, it would be a boring, peaceful forest with no battles and intense fighting that makes Warriors so interesting.

Just relax and imagine yourself as your character. You just caught your first mouse! How would you react? What does the mouse look like? What does it smell like? Be creative, but not unrealistic.

Also, make sure you give other members something to work with. If you just give blunt answers with your character, topics will end fairly quickly.
Keep in mind that these are only example sentences. Make sure your post is at least longer than 3 sentences to give the other person something to work with.

Bad role-play conversation:
"How are you doing?" asked Whitepaw.
"Good," Redfur responded.
"Catch any prey today?" Whitepaw inquired once more.
"No."

Do you see how one member is adding to the conversation while the other is giving plain answers? Here's an example of how to fix that.

Good role-play conversation:
"How are you doing?" asked Whitepaw.
"Not so great," Redfur responded. "We didn't catch any prey in our patrol."
"That's terrible!" Whitepaw exclaimed. "Maybe I can come with you on your next patrol and help you!"
etc.

That's one of the big issues in role playing that I see.

If you have any more questions or want to practice privately, shoot me a PM (personal message). I can teach you how to be expressive in role play if you'd like.
