Blood shall have Blood [For WC]

If something happened on WindClan territory, Gorsefeather was most likely to notice and react. After all, as the Medicine Cat of WindClan, the calico spent most of his days roaming the moors hunting for his quarry, herbs. Sometime the tom even strayed from WindClan territory, heading more into the Twoleg places for catmint or borage as there were few wooded areas in WindClan territory. And it was on one of these voyages he found Swiftpaw.

The apprentice was dead, body devoid of all warmth.

Gorsefeather stalled for a second, brain not computing. But then his instincts as a medicine cat kicked in, rushing over to sniff and inspect the body. After all, if this was the work of a fox, all of the clan was in danger. He inspected the wounds, particularly the vicious bite that had ended the poor apprentice's life. It was undeniably a cat bite. And it stunk of the rogues that had invaded their camp not so long ago, looking for Gladepaw.

He felt a cold fire light within him, anger simmering at the knowledge a rogue would have done this to one of their own. He'd known these rogues would be trouble, but to think they'd murder a Clan Cat. But this wouldn't be solved with him just grieving alone in the Twoleg's place. So he grabbed the cold, solid corpse by the scruff and dragged it towards the long march back. He'd collected herbs but they mattered naught to him. Swiftpaw deserved better than to become crowfood and his life unavenged. Herbs could wait.


"You there! Go fetch Falconstar and my apprentice. And someone gather the clan, there had been a murder of our kin!" Gorsefeather yowled bitterly after he placed the young apprentice gently on the camp floor. Despite the unpleasantness of touching the corpse, he groomed the poor apprentice's fur so it wasn't so matted and chaotic. The gouges in his pelt was bad enough without the dirt and grime. The apprentice was on clear display for all to see, and so Gorsefeather tried his best to make him look less broken.

Icestorm was enjoying the day when he caught the scent of...death? He looked up from grooming himself and saw Gorsefeather and a dead apprentice. He stood up in shock, another death?! He still wasn't over Sharppaw's death and couldn't take anymore.

Cedarpaw was laying next to his brother as usual and saw him suddenly look horrified. He glanced in the direction Icestorm was looking and saw Swiftpaw, dead. "Swiftpaw!" he screeched to one of his closest friends as he also stood up.

(ooc- pikachu, are you gonna post on sharppaw's death? sorry, nobody has and I was just wondering)

The commotion was of a variety that no fetching would be required. Falconstar stepped out of his den to see what was going on and was met with the unmistakable stench of death. Quickening his step, he was met with an unfortunate sight: Swiftpaw, deceased. Lashing his tail, he turned to Gorsefeather. "What happened here? Did you see Swiftpaw die?"

OOC: In case you didn't see the topic for Swiftpaw's death, Flames killed him. I got oermission from Blaze, so.. yeah.

Emberpaw's ear twitched. His grey eyes snapped open and in an instant he was on his paws, standing in his bed of moss in the Medicine cat's den. Sweat dotted his fur as he panted. Emberpaw had just had a bad dream that there was a battle going on and he slept through the whole thing. In his dream, he woke up and everyone was dead. He knew it was just a nightmare, but when the stench of death came to him, the medicine cat apprentice's mind raced to the worst case scenario; his dream was real.

Only when the ginger tom heard voices of his clan mates did he relax. He took a deep breath but realized the scent of death was still hanging in the air. The tom slowly jogged out of the medicine cat's den and froze at the sight. A growing group of his clan mates were huddling around a limp figure in the middle of camp. Emberpaw raced over, his fur messy like usual and his eyes wild. "Gorsefeather, what's going on?" he asked as he stopped at his mentor's side.

The calico's shoulders were weighed down in weary grief as he looked over to his Leader and his apprentice, but a determined fire burned in his eyes. Gorsefeather got up and faced the pair, tail lashing out behind him as his growled. "I was out foraging for herbs when I found this... Swiftpaw murdered at the Twolegplace, Falconstar. He reeked of rogues, the same ones that waltzed into our camp a few moons ago. They've dared to kill an apprentice, a rogue murdered our kin!"

Gorsefeather's voice broken out into a wail of grief and frustration towards the end. He mourned for the apprentice loss, and burned with a pointless desire to avenge the young apprentice, though as a medicine cat, it was hardly his place. He was destined to watch only, fighting only under the most dire of circumstances.

Shatteredkit had no entail of what was going on, who had died, what it even meant to die, or anything of the sort. The small she-kit had just been napping in the nursery when she heard the commotion of her clanmates. The small bundle of fur stumbled her way out of the nursery entrance, still quite groggy from her nap. Squinting her bright eyes in the sunlight, Shatteredkit made her best attempt at approaching the situation, "Could someone please explain what's going on?" she squeaked.

"Hush little one." Icestorm said softly to the young kit. He didn't want the kit to be introdused to death at this young of an age.

Cedarpaw crept towards his friend, anger buring inside of him. Someone is gonna pay. He thought to himself.

Falconstar narrowed his eyes. The smell of rogue was indeed present, or at least the smell of a non-clan cat. Such a senseless death… This could not stand. Looking back at Gorsefeather, he mewed calmly, "This is not something we can ignore. We must teach these rogues what it means to mess with clan cats."

OOC:can someone find Snakepaw he fell and broke his neck on a cliff some where within Windclan territory and he died just right before Swiftpaw as well.
