The Day Off [CLOSED for Cloverpool]

Sunpelt was sitting alone in camp, thinking about his apprentice Eaglepaw and how well the young tom was doing. I'll have to take him battle training soon, the golden tom decided, finding himself excited at the prospect of watching his apprentice grow into one of the best fighters in the forest.

He looked around the camp and spotted Cloverpaw. Sunpelt's heart ached for their old closeness, and he determinedly padded over to the beautiful she-cat. He nudged her shoulder, and asked, "Want to go hunting?"

Sunpelt purred, and led the way out of Sunningrocks. When they had reached the edge of the forest, he stopped and tasted the air. He smelled the musty scent of mouse. Spotting a rustling beside an oak, he crept up on it. The golden tabby pounced and killed it with a bite to the neck.

He picked it up and dropped it at Cloverpaw's paws. "Want to share?" Sunpelt invited.
