I'm sorry Thrushstar...

Sadly, the blind apprentice slowly padded into ShadowClan camp, dragging Shadepaw's body with her. Quietly, she mewed to Thrushstar, "Shadepaw... Shadepaw... Shadepaw died,"

IceStorm felt very odd walking into ShadowClan camp, but he couldn't just let the apprentice go off on her own, incase she tried anything crazy...

OOC- On the previous topic, I witnessed the horror, and she said I could escort her back to camp...incase you are wondering why I am here...

Thrushstar was lying quietly in the middle of the camp, a little dazed after the few dreams he'd had in these past few days. Surprisingly, it wasn't the smell of blood that hit him first. It was the smell of Windclan. Jumping to his feet with hackles raised and claws out, the tom looked towards the entrance of the camp to see Mousepaw carrying the mangled body of Shadepaw... with a Windclan warrior next to her. After looking at both of them for a moment, it was obvious that the rabbit chaser was with Mousepaw for a reason, but the Shadowclan leader couldn't take his eyes off of Icestorm, even though his face purely showed concern and sorrow mixed with disappointment. "Mousepaw, what happened?" he asked. He wasn't really expecting an answer. Normally apprentices or warriors that found their friend dead had a hard time even comprehending anything for a while. Thrushstar was one of those warriors. "Why is there a Windclan warrior in my camp?"

Scarletfrost jumped up when she smelled the rancid stench of blood, and saw Mousepaw carrying the mangled body of Shadepaw.
No... It can't be... It can't be Shadepaw...
She wobbled over to where the WindClan warrior and her fellow clanmate were standing, and stopped a few tail-lengths away. Horrified, she stared at her former apprentice's dead body, hardly believing it was real.

Icestorm dipped his head to the ShadowClan leader. "I am very sorry Thrushstar, I did not mean to intrude nor wish to cause you any trouble." He said very calmly looking at the apprentice and her dead friend. He gave a small sigh. "I was patrolling the boarder and doing a bit of hunting when I heard these two playing near the ThunderPath and..." The words suddenly got caught in his throat. Even though these weren't his clan mates, he couldn't help but feel horrible. "They got to close and by the time I ran over there, she was already on her way to StarClan. He bowed his head in acknowledgement to the dead cat.

Cinderpaw padded out of the apprentices' den, smelling the scent of WindClan and... death? Finding Mousepaw, Scarletfrost, Thrushstar, and the WindClan warrior, Cinderpaw noticed a mangled body on the ground. Looking closer, the she-cat noticed something similar about the cat's pelt. Is that... Shadepaw? Cinderpaw didn't know Shadepaw that much, but she knew that Shadepaw would've become a fine warrior. She felt sorry for Scarletfrost, knowing that Shadepaw was her apprentice. This is terrible...

Mousepaw slowly pinned her ears back and mewed, "Me... Me and Shadepaw were practicing battle moves on each other, but I accidentally pushed Shadepaw back. But," She stepped back. "I didn't know we were so close to the Thunderpath."

Straigtening his stance, the Shadowclan leader calmed down slightly before his emotions were taken over by sorrow. Shadepaw was so young and had so much potential. Letting out a deep breath, Thrushstar nodded towards Mousepaw. "It's okay, Mousepaw. It's not your fault. Sometimes Starclan has plans for cats and they planned to take Shadepaw into their ranks tonight. Do not blame yourself, but from now on, you will train with me or another warrior. It's for your safety and progression through apprenticeship, okay?" The leader then looked at Icestorm. "To be honest, I loathe the fact that any kind of Windclan cat has dared to step foot into Shadowclan. However..." This was weird to say. Thrushstar had hated Windclan for as long as he could remember-- before he was even leader. "Thank you for helping Mousepaw to bring back Shadepaw. I will remember this the next time Windclan and Shadowclan meet. I pray that you do not use this leniency against us, Windclan warrior, because if you do, I will not hesitate to rip out your fur when we meet again." Looking back at Cinderpaw who appeared out of the den, the tom motioned her towards Mousepaw. "Cinderpaw, help move Shadepaw to the center of camp to start the vigil, if you please."

"Of course not, I would never do that." IceStorm replied calmly and nodded his head in respect. "I understand my presence is not welcome here and I assure you, I am not the type to hold anything against another clan. I should get going now, do you need anyone to escort me?" He eyed the leader, wondering if he trusted him enough. "And again, I am deeply sorry for your loss." he lowered his head, remembering the horror of watching the young cat get crushed.

Cinderpaw's ears perked when Thrushstar called the young she-cat. With respect, the apprentice nodded solemnly, and padded towards the mangled body. Shadepaw will be happy in StarClan, she thought to herself. It would've been great, though, to watch her become a warrior. She will be missed. Cinderpaw, next to the body that held the life of Shadepaw, nodded to Mousepaw, indicating that she was ready to help carry Shadepaw to the center of the camp.

Mousepaw nodded back, and carried the lifeless body into the center of camp.

IceStorm stood there in silence, watching the sad apprentice, drag her friend away.

Thrushstar was a little impressed with this Windclan cat. Nodding his head, he looked towards Mousepaw and Cinderpaw before looking back at Icestorm. "I will escort you myself. I can't have any Windclan cats running around my territory even if they have been rather helpful tonight." Heading towards the entrance, he expected Icestorm to follow. Quickly looking back at Mousepaw one more time, he spoke. "Thank you, Mousepaw. Stay here until I return."

Scarletfrost watched as her apprentice was taken to the center of the camp. She slowly made her way over to the corpse, trying to keep her legs from buckling beneath her, and laid down beside it, and she buried her nose into the cooling fur.
"You will be missed, Shadepaw. I wish I could have been a better mentor. I wish I could have taught you more. You didn't deserve this. You were a great apprentice." she whispered almost inaudibly into the apprentice's fur. Receive her well, StarClan. Treat her well.

"Ok" IceStorm agreed with the ShadowClan leader and respectfully followed. Before he left the camp he turned towards the dead apprentice and mummbled "Hope you have fun chasing stary prey." with a sad but warm look on his face.
