Echokit and Olivekit's Apprentice Ceremony

A moon has passed since Robinpaw's apprentice ceremony had been held, and finally, the other two kits in Spottedstar's litter were ready to leave the nursery. It had been a rough time for everyone, seeing the kits ill, but now was a moment of celebration. The two were ready to take their positions as apprentices and grow to be fine warriors. Feeling joyous due to the occasion, Duskfall leaped onto Highrock with a spring in his step.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Olivekit came out of the den, running ahead of his mother and sister. He ran a quick lick over his chest and ran into the front of the rock. He stared up with his amber eyes and waited.

Spottedstar gave a slight smile as Olivekit burst through the doorway, as Echokit gave a more quick approach. She gave them a few licks even to their detest but continued anyway.

OOC: quick because im sick. Also could you give Echokit to Specklefur and Olivekit to Duskfall I guess?

Robinpaw trotted to her mother's side, grinning at her siblings. She had been waiting for this day, when they would join her in the apprentices' den. Truthfully, she wasn't exactly popular with the other apprentices. She just wasn't as emotionally unstable as the rest of them, that was all. Perhaps her reservation came off as snobbish to them? She shook these thoughts out of her head and looked back at her siblings win approval.

"Echokit, Olivekit, please step forward." Duskfall called out to the pair, there speedy approach amused the tom. So young and eager, a fine addition to the clan, he thought.

Turtlepaw grinned. More apprentices! Soon they would have to take over the warriors' den, or stretch the apprentices' den to the breaking point. She already couldn't go to the dirtplace at night without stepping on someone's paw, tail, ear, or occasionally face (I'm still sorry about that!). Still, she was glad to see more coming.

Olivekit almost shot forward, acting quite goofy for his own apprentice ceremony, and just being sick. Echokit slowly followed behind him, more reserved.

Spottedstar gave a nod to Duskfall, trusting him to give them good mentors.

"Echokit, Olivekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Echopaw and Olivepaw. Your mentors will be Specklefur and Hawkstrike. I hope they will pass down all they knows on to you." Duskfall spoke calmly, certain he'd made good choices. While he did have some concerns about giving Specklefur three apprentices, she was a senior warrior. He trusted she'd do her best by these kits.

"Hawkstrike, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Spottedstar, and you have shown yourself to be calm and compassionate. You will be the mentor of Olivepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." The tom finished up, looking over at his daughter. It was her first apprentice, but he had faith she would do admirably. "Specklefur, I know this is your third apprentice, but you are a fine warrior. I have no doubt you will handle this responsibility with wisdom and grace. May StarClan guide your path."

Hawkstrike turned to face her new apprentice, nodding once in respect to both her father and her leader. She cam over to Olivepaw to touch noses with him.

Specklefur padded 'ever-so graciously' towards the meeting after dropping her prey at the fresh-kill pile, quickly noting it that the meeting was a apprentice ceremony. Padding towards her previous mentor she nodded her head and mewed in a hushed tone. "Apprentices already? Time goes fast... Sorry that I haven't been there after your kitting, I was out." She meowed with a huff as she looked at the two kittens looking up at Duskfall, Echokit was very reserved for a kitten her age it was surprising. Olivekit was annoying with how bubbly it was but it brought life to the clan which she may hate to admit it but she was grateful for.

Giving her fur a shake she stood straighter and licked her long chest fur for a bit before turning her attention back to the apprentices with a snort hoping for it to get on with so she could train her apprentices... that was when she heard Echopaw and her name that her eye widened, three apprentices and their learning on her shoulders now. Hissing she glared at Duskfall and nodding before getting to her paws and walking over to Echopaw and meowing. "Train hard and learn fast I'm not keen on slowing down my pace so you better be ready." She warned before touching her nose to the apprentices.

Lashing around Specklefur called behind her apprentice and other apprentices before rocketing out of the clearing her tail high as she didn't give the chance for the apprentice to be congratulated or anything of the sort.

The newly named Olivepaw gave a purr, turning around and almost smashed his nose into Hawkstrike, but managed to contain himself enough not to. All be could spurt out was "Hi"

Echopaw touched noses with her new mentor, and quickly mewed before she had a chance to run off "Well don't be surprised if I learn faster than you can teach." she huffed before taking a bound after her.
