Roaringkit and Salmonkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Fishstar leaped up to the willow branch and called, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!"

Roaringkit appeared out of the nursery, his fur groomed down by a queen. The orange and white tom kit sat down in the camp and looked up at his leader, Fishstar.

Salmonkit gave a soft mrrow, and padded next to Roaringkit. She purred as she sat next to him. She liked him; very much. And he seemed to like her back. "I hope this is our apprentice ceromony!" Salmonkit meowed. She purred loudly.

Tansypaw walked out at her mentor's summons. Two more kits would join her as apprentices! She purred with happiness as she sat down under the leafy willow branch. She remembered how she had felt when she first became an apprentice and wondered who Roaringkit and Salmonkit's mentors would be.

Roaringkit smiled as Salmonkit joined him. Though he was a huge flirt, he really liked Salmonkit out of all the many she-kits in the clan the best. She was nice and seemed to be always there, and plus, she had a cool pelt. "Me too! A queen groomed my fur before sending me out, so I'm sure it is!" He flicked his tail, it accidentally touched Salmonkit's and a stange feeling went through him. He quickly moved it to around his paws, cheeks lighting up red like roses.

Salmonkit smiled. She placed her tail around her paws. "That's okay." She whispered. She felt a love for Roaringkit.

Fishstar's whisker's twitched in amusement as the two kits attempted to flirt. The leader realized with a start that she'd never even considered looking for a mate. Life's been too busy, I suppose. Perhaps I ought to try sometime..? Snapping her attention back to the kits, she said, "Salmonkit, Roaringkit, please step forward."

Salmonkit stepped foward. "Yay!" She whispered.

Roaringkit stood up and stepped forward, next to Salmonkit. "We are becoming apprentices," he whispered excitedly to Salmonkit.

"Yes!" She meowed. Salmonkit looked at Roaringkit. She gave him a soft lick on his muzzle. "That's the last time till we are apprentices," she purred. "I can't wait to be an apprentice with you,"

"You have both reached the age of six moons, and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you receive your warrior names, you shall be known as Roaringpaw and Salmonpaw. Roaringpaw, your mentor shall be Otterfur. Salmonpaw, your mentor shall be Silverwing. I trust that they will pass on all they know about being a warrior to you." Fishstar leapt off of the willow branch and joined in the congratulatory chanting of the new apprentices' names.

Salmonpaw leaped into the air with exicitment. "Cool!" She meowed, running over to Silverwing.
