Honeypaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Honeypaw had made sure every bit of her pelt was prim and proper that night, her eyes shining in excitement as she'd stepped out with the rest of the clan, glancing between her mentor Jayclaw and Thrushstar on top of the Jagged Rock. She felt like she could scarcely breathe.

"Tonight we gather to make this apprentice a warrior," Thrushstar said confidently. "Honeypaw, please step forward."

The she-cat tried to keep her purr quiet, holding her chin high and stepping to the front of the crowd, gazing up at Thrushstar.

Looking down at the apprentice as she stepped forward, the Shadowclan leader continued. "Honeypaw, do you promise to serve and protect this clan, as well as uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" Poor Honeypaw had been a kit and an apprentice for so long, Thrushstar was a little proud that she had finally reached this moment.

Honeypaw nodded firmly. "I do."

Looking back up, Thrushstar finished his words. "Then from this day forward, you shall be known as Honeycloud. We welcome you as a full warrior of Shadowclan." With that, he leaped off of the rock to let the clan finish the ceremony.
