Bluekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Shadepaw ran out of the apprentice and sat at Thrushstar's summon.

Bluekit made her way over to the Jaggedrock and sat down. She at first was unsure what was going to happen, but after giving it some thought, she knew and began to grow very enthusiastic about what was to come. The young blue-gray kitten had reached six moons of age, which made her the right age to move into the next chapter of her life. Bluekit was ready to be an apprentice now, and the thought of this made her thrilled. She was practically bouncing for joy inside her mind, yet in the real world she remained calm aside from showing a smile upon her face. Since she was about to transfer from the life of a kit to the life of an apprentice, she no longer wanted to act like a kit. She wanted to actually show that she was mature enough to be an apprentice. Due to this, she glanced up towards Thrushstar on the peak of the Jaggedrock in a quiet manner and waited for him to call her up.

"Tonight we gather to make this kit an apprentice," the Shadowclan leader meowed. "Bluekit, from this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Bluepaw. I will be your mentor, and I will teach you everything that I know." With that, he leaped down from the Jaggedrock, touching noses with his new apprentice.

Bluepaw couldn't believe that Thrushstar was not only now her leader, but her mentor. She couldn't be more happy with who was her mentor. She happily leaned forward to touch noses with Thrushstar.
