A lonely kit Empty
PostSubject: A lonely kit   A lonely kit EmptyTue Apr 28, 2015 3:47 am

A young kit woke up in the nursery, his scorched-looking grey fur tangled and messy. Scorchkit yawned and looked around. After finding nothing to do in the nursery, he stumbled out into camp and sat down. He tried grooming his fur a little, but gave up soon. Sighing, Scorchkit wished he had someone to play with, but he usually got made fun of his scorched-looking grey fur.

"And what do you think you're doing out of the nursery?" A calm and collected voice called from behind the small kit. It was Fennelcloud, a queen that had just woken up from a nap when Scorchkit walked out. She sat down next to the tom with an amused look on her face. He was definitely old enough to be out on his own, but she didn't want him wandering off, even if he wasn't technically her kit. All queens were supposed to watch after all of the kits, right?

Sorchkit cowered back from the queen as he looked up at her. He recognized her from the nursery her name was...Fennelcloud. "Uh...I..I uh..." He looked down at his paws nervously. Scorchkit thought he was in trouble with the queen. "I w...wanted to play outside," he said quietly.

Laughing quietly, the she-cat laid down next to the kit so that she was as small as he was now, at least height-wise. It was really cute, actually. Giving Scorchkit a lick on his head, she purred. "You can't go and play all dirty like you are! Look at your fur!" she mewed, licking his messy pelt down to where it looked a little more manageable. "You have to look presentable if you're going to play with the big cats."

Scorchkit looked down at his fur once Fennelcloud was done grooming it. "What are the big cats?" He asked as he licked down some fur on his chest. He had heard of Warriors and Apprentices, Leaders and Deputies and Medicine Cats, but he didn't really know what they were. "Are they nice?"

The she-cat nodded. "Yes they are! The apprentices are very nice. I'm sure they'll try to show you a few tricks before you become one yourself," she mewed, her tail twitching behind her in amusement. "The warriors are big and brave. They are the ones that protect the camp. I'm sure that some of them will stop by and say hello, but be sure you don't get under their paws. They are very busy."
