Redkit and Soaringkits Apprentice Ceremony

Spottedstar jumped onto the Highrock and let out a yowl. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Redkit padded out of the nursery, followed by his brother, Soaringkit. The two of them had been nicely groomed by their mother before being sent out. Both of them wondered what was going to happen; they had been told of the ways of the clan, but they weren't quite sure when all the ceremonies took place, so they had no idea it was their apprentice ceremony.

Softsong had groomed Soaringkit and Redkit before she had sent them out. She smiled some as she padded out a few seconds after them to take a seat quietly.


Coalpaw heard the call and had padded from the Medicine Cat's den. She figured it was an apprentice ceremony for her adopted younger brothers Redkit and Soaringkit. The dark furred she cat shook her fur some before she sat to watch.

Blazestorm padded into the clearing, close enough to the highrock to where he could hear Spottedstar, but far enough away he didn't have to be bugged by anyone. He was tired today, and didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Let's just get this over with he sadly thought to himself.

"Redkit, Soaringkit. You have reached the age of 6 moon and are ready to begin your training." She looked down at the kits and continued. "From now on your names shall be Redpaw and Soaringpaw. Your mentors shall be Blazestorm and Lavenderwish"

Lavenderwish's ears pricked when she heard her name called as mentor. She was surprised, but stood and made her way over to Soaringpaw.

Blazestorm froze up. He was surprised his leader had even noticed him. He slowly padded up to Redpaw and touched noses with him. "Are you excited?" He asked curiously.
