When The Monarch takes Flight Does It Fall or Fly

Monarchwing was hunting quietly. She was sniffing and looking around for a rabbit. Soon enough the golden tabby and white she cat bunched her muscles and pushed , rocketing herself forward as she started to pursue the hare. She kicked up dirt behind her as she wasn't even aware of how she was chasing the hare right to the edge of the Gorge side. She started to skid to a stop a little to late when she saw the rabbit swerve leaving Monarchwing to skid and slip of the edge. Monarchwing managed to grip the edge of the gorge her claws digging in. She tried to pull herself up but she was havi g a hard time. She tensed before she let out a yowl calling for help hoping somecat would hear.

Icetail was patrolling the borders at the same time Monarchwing was in danger. She scented a Windclan cat. Stupid Windclan cats! Always getting on our- She saw Monarchwing about to fall. ..nerves? She ran over, trying to get a grip on the she-cat. She pulled her up. "Are you alright?" She asked. But before either could speak once more, the gorge crumbled. "Ahh!" She shrieked as they fell. She gripped into the side, letting the Windclan she-cat grip her tail.

Monarchwing was about to say thank you to the Riverclan cat but they started to fall. She desperately tried to reach for something to hold onto. Though she soon got her jaw around her tail but not too tightly. Monarchwing was practically dangling by the she cat's tail and she was start to lose her grip. She closed her eyes starting to become scared.

"I'll save you!" Icetail promised, and tried to pull her up.

Then everything started to go very slow. She saw the Windclan queen fallubg and saw herself falling as well. She gasped as they crashed into the water.

As everything cleared, all she could see was water. She swam through the water to see Monarchwing. She dragged her to the surface. She gasped for breath.

As they got to the sand, she began to try to wake Monarchwing. "I'm so sorry... Are you alright?"

Monarchwing closed her eyes as they fell. She hit the water hard and with it it hurt. She tried to swim but she had sunk fast water had filled her lungs rather quickly her eyes had flew open but had drifted closed as she was dragged out of the water her pelt was heavy with water. She felt weak very very weak and she coughed up abunch of water her body heaving and she tried to take in air but it wasn't working her eyes were opening and wide.

Icetail frantically looked over the she-cat, trying to see if she could help her. Seeing no solution, she began to cry. "I'm sorry! Everyone I fight, I try to save, I love, dies!" She wailed and whispered, "I'm sorry I couldn't save you. Your probably a great cat.." She said, and watched as the she-cat died, slowly. "I'm sorry." She began to pad away, sorrow in her steps.

A tear slipped from the she cat's eyes before she was able to breathe but it was her last breathe. As her last breathe left her she laid staring at absolutly nothing her eyes hazing over as she died joining the ranks of Starclan.
