Silverkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Duskfall climbed up on top of High Rock to hold Silverkit's apprentice ceremony, this was usually the duty of Spottedstar, but she was still recovering from her illness, thus he had been given the honour. Bracing himself, he yowled loud and clear out to the clan camp. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Silverkit slowly padded outside the nursery, knowing what was about to happen. Many older cats were already sat down beneath the Highrock, so the younger she-cat sat herself down behind the crowd of cats.

"Silverkit, please step forward." Duskfall called out to the kit. Taking a moment to let her step forward, he continued. "Silverkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw. I will be your mentor. I hope to pass on all that I know onto you."

Silverkit - no, Silverpaw nodded her head towards her new mentor, Duskfall. It was her time now, to walk the path of the apprentice until she was made a warrior. "Thank you, Duskfall."

Duskfall leaped down from High Rock with ease, and approached his newly appointed apprentice. "It's my honour to be your mentor."

He moved in closer to touch noses with her as traditional.

Silverpaw smiled when she touched noses with her mentor. "When can we start training?" After being confined to camp, Silverpaw couldn't wait to see the forest.

Duskfall mreowed in laughter at Silverpaw's eagerness to train. "We can start tomorrow with Battle training. But for now, I think the elder's den could do with some fresh moss."
