Scarletkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leaping onto the rock, Thrushstar called to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Scarletkit padded out of the shadows, fur neat and clean. She sat down in front of the Jaggedrock, looking up at Thrushstar.

"Tonight we gather to make this kit an apprentice," Looking down at Scarletkit, Thrushstar continued. "Scarletkit, from this day until you receive your warrior name, you shall be knwon as Scarletpaw. You mentor will be myself and I promise to teach you everything that I know."

Scarletpaw gaped as Thrushstar announced that he was to be her mentor. The apprentice of a clan leader! The gape spread into a wide grin, because she was so excited.
