Cold waters (open to anyone)

"Ahh, finally!" Shimmerpaw padded out of camp for the first time. She had just become an apprentice recently, and she felt like exploring. Shimmerpaw soon came to the river. Shimmerpaw ran to the river's edge and stuck a paw in. The freezing-cold water stung her paw. She yelped and drew it back. "Woah, I never thought it would be that cold," she said to herself. Shimmerpaw somehow found the courage to stick her paw in again. This time, she was ready for the cold. After a few moments, she stuck her other paw in, then the rest of her paws. Soon enough, she was wading through the cold water. She stayed in the shallow end where she could touch the bottom, in fear that if she would go deeper, she would get swept away in the current and not know how to swim to shore. Eventually, Shimmerpaw was shivering from the cold, so she got out of the water and crawled into the reeds to rest and warm up. She laid down and closed her eyes, but a sound disturbed her. It sounded like someone was heading her way. She shot open her eyes and sniffed the air, trying to figure out who it was.

The kit bounded towards the river. This wasn't her first time of roaming into another clan's territory. The Shadowclan kit loved to explore, and she went outside into the other clans territories ALL the time. It was surprising Shadowclan hadn't thrown her out yet. She wasn't really important, she had no parents and maybe an unknown sibling, and that was about it. She barely talked about her past, but it was obvious she wasn't from her. The kitten leapt into the icy cold water, and yelped. After a moment or two, she started to laugh and paddled around. She swam like a warrior of Riverclan. She finally got out of the water and shook her pelt. She walked along the riverbank, then sniffed. A cat from another clan! Dawnkit decided to go talk to them, and rushed towards the scent.
