Frosty Morning

Morningpaw sighed from her spot outside of the medicine cat den, her gaze careful as she glanced around the camp. Training had been slow, and she had already resorted the herbs for about the third time. It was one of the few things she could do to keep herself amused, with not having much to do as she waited for her training to pick back up. She laid down with a small defeated sigh, shaking her head as she glanced at the snow in front of her. It couldn't help that she couldn't even go collect herbs; the snow that now covered the ground had killed most of them. She had been surprise to see the white stuff, but Nightfire had been quick to explain the snow to her and what exactly what it did. Leafbare was the time where the medicine cats were most needed; sickness was easy to travel around and with having to make due with what herbs they had; it could be a very risky time for a Clan. Morningpaw just wished she had somebody to talk to; anybody would do. She just wanted to do something other than sitting here freezing her tail off...

Strikepaw was interested in the white powder it was fun to jump in even if it was cold. As hye jumped into another pile he spotted Morningpaw and cocked his head why did she look so down this snow made him feel like a kit on the inside. Once more he leaped on to a pile of snow inching toward Morningpaw he buried his nose into the snow when suddenly his nose started to quiver, he stared crossed eyed at the site then it came as he tried to speak "Hey Morning.." his voice quivered then he sneezed. Closing his eyes he wrinkled his nose up, and stepped forward ready to speak again. "As I was saying, Hello Morningpaw what are you doing?"

Morningpaw blinked as she heard a voice, and looked up to see Strikepaw staring at her. She held back a laugh as he sneezed, but smiled softly at him. "Good morning, Strikepaw," she said as she brushed her tail across the ground, leaving a small wake in the snow. "Just...Bored. My training has slowed down with Leafbare here. The snow is killing the herbs so we have to make due with the collection was have currently. I've already sorted the herbs three times already..." she let out a defeated sigh, poking at the cold, wet snow with her paw before she drew it back, shaking off the white clumps that stuck to her fur. "What about you, what are you up to, Strikepaw?"

Ghostkit peered out of the nursery, wondering if he was allowed to go outside and see the apprentices.

Rainpaw glanced out of the apprentice's den quietly. Firefly never had time to train with her these days. Staring out into the snow-covered camp, she spotted Morningpaw and Strikepaw talking, and Ghostkit peeking out of the nursery.
