Strikepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Spottedstar looked down on her mingling clan, calling them together for a meeting.

Strikepaw ran up to the rock heart pounding in his head, oh how he wished his mom was here. He smiled at the thought and gazed up a new gleam arose in his eyes.

Dapplepelt sat near his apprentice and smiled. He knew this was going to be his ceremony and thought he had trained him well.

"Strikepaw, please step forward" she mewed before continuing. "I, Spottedstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Strikepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Strikepaw felt his ears burn, "Yes I do." he said breathing deeply with wide eyes.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. From this day on, you shall be called Strikeshard. StarClan honors your enthusiasm and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." She jumped down and rested her muzzle on his head.

As the she cat ljumped down Strikepaw shard licked her shoulder then stepped back feeling like he had evolved into a mature grown cat with pride just like his dads, he smiled at the thought. Stopping to gaze he laughed for the sake of it.
