Snowpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather to hear my words!" Reedstar yowled from his swaying perch in the center of camp.

Snowpaw trotted quickly towards the clearing. She wanted to hear what Reedstar was going to say. It didn't hurt to listen.

Once all the Clan had gathered, Reedstar nodded. "Snowpaw, step forward," he mewed, meeting the apprentice's gaze. "I, Reedstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Snowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"Yes, I do." Snowpaw said and stood there uneasily. The shy warrior surprisingly held her leader's gaze. She would normally look away when someone meets her eyes.

He bowed his head. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Snowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Snowfrost. StarClan honors your cleverness and kindness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

"Thank you, Reedstar." Snowfrost dipped her head at her leader. She was glad to finally be a warrior.
