Lightningpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!" Dewstar yowled loudly, summoning her Clan for a much-needed warrior ceremony.

Lightningpaw's ears perked. Turning from his mouse, he padded over to sit under the rock, looking up at Dewstar.

"Lightningpaw, please step forward." Dewstar looked down on the apprentice, who seemed to have gotten excited. "I, Dewstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Lightningpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Lightningpaw dipped his head and stepped forward. Listening to Dewstar's words, he smiled. "Lightningpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your
Clan, even at the cost of your life? Lightningpaw purred. "I do." he promised firmly.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. From this day on, you shall be called Lightningstrike. StarClan honors your loyalty and trustworthiness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." She jumped down and rested her muzzle on his head, as per usual.

Lightningstrike smiled and licked her shoulder respectively. "Thank you, Dewstar!" he meowed. Stepping back, he dipped his head and looked around at ThunderClan.
