Dog Attack! [Clan Event]

Twoleg hounds have escaped from their masters, and now there's a whole pack of them running straight for WindClan's camp!

No need for battle system, but we can use it if you want.

Ready, set, go!

Redpaw whipped around to face a dog. Panting she backed up back arched and hissing. "Go away you mangy flea bag!" She managed to spit in its face, she unsheathed her claws. It was now or never to fight, so I guess it was now. She swiped blindly feeling a sharp pain in her cheek. She grunted and stepped back, where is the clan?

A young cat by the name of Pebblekit howled out to her clan, whom she assumed didn't know of the crisis yet. "DOGS!" Her screech rang. Her greenish blue eyes were narrowed to slits, and her short grey fur on end. Though she was still technically a kit, her ceremony was long overdue. In the meantime, she had learned to fight from watching the apprentices train in camp. Following her nose, she followed a trail that led to an old mutt with a silver snout. Snarling, she leaped and began tearing at it's back with her claws.

One of the oldest warriors took a whiff of the air above him. When a small breeze came along, it was loaded with the disgusting smell of canines. Growling, he stood with his unusually long legs to locate the nearest hound. Spotting one not to far away, he sprinted for it. Jumping at just the right moment, Deernose headbutted it's throat. "Keep to your Twoleg's dens, you scrawny beasts!"

Owlheart was following the scent of the dogs; having been hunting when he grew aware of it and heard the sound of fighting and the barking of dogs. Stupid...Twolegs...Pets! He hissed, his paws pounding on the ground as he raced along. Finally he stumbled to a stop; finding the battle and the three cats that were currently fighting the dogs. He raced down the slope, taking a flying leap at one of the dogs; letting his claws rank down its sides. His gaze however, landed on the grey fur that was Pebblekit.

What was that kit doing? "Pebblekit!" he yowled over the sound of the battle, a sharp hiss in his voice. "Get back to the Clan! This isn't a place for kits!" By StarClan, if that kit didn't get out of here now, he swore he would drag that kit back by its tail once the battle was over. Owlheart wasn't kidding about that either; dogs could easily kill a full-grown cat, in fact he had heard tales of two WindClan cats, a father and son that had been killed by dogs not long before he was born...If Pebblekit didn't get out of here now; he would easily be dog-food. Besides; as a kit Pebblekit shouldn't be out of the camp, much less fighting a whole pack of dogs.

Out of nowhere can Thornclaw, who sprung from the ground to glide towards the dog that Pebblekit was on. "Get back to the nursery!" He yowled while his claws slashed the mutts ears. "Now!" The feline continued inflicting pain to the canine's ears before biting one of them and springing clear of the dog's thrashing head. "You too, twoleg scum! Run back to your owners wailing like a kit!" The warrior hissed.

Spiderkit stuck his head out of the nursery and looked around with huge eyes. "Wow, those are big dogs!" Half of his body was now out of the entrance. A big dog snapped it's jaws at him. He squealed and got pulled inside by a queen.

Redpaw hissed swiping at the huge creatures nose. "Spiderkit is right these are huge." She said as she swiped again feeling the blood of the animal warm on her paws. "Ahhhhhh!" She exclaimed as it snapped at her face. She pulled back in time lashing her tail. Quickly she snapped tearing at the beasts cheek. Panting she pulled back trying to keep calm, the warriors will finish this.

Darkfrost dashed straight for the dog at the nursery entrance in a flash of dark gray. The mutt had almost gotten its fangs into the scruff of a kit before the youngster was pulled inside, sending a jolt of panic through him. He leapt, his claws extended, and clawed the cheek and muzzle of the attacker. It snapped repeatedly back at Darkfrost, but he was on the tip of his paws and ready to evade the wickedly sharp teeth. The battle cries of his clanmates filled his ears and he wondered just where the leader was at this moment in time.

The kit growled, reluctant to obey the warrior. With a second's thought, she concluded they thought it was dangerous for her. Before she leaped off the thrashing animal, Pebblekit ripped at it's ear with her small, but sharp fangs. As she was running back to the nursery, where it was 'safe', the kitten spat out the blood in her mouth. "They taste terrible. Haven't they heard of bathing?" She murmured to herself. It was fun, though.

Before he could recover from ramming into the dog, he found himself being held up by the scruff. Oh no. Knowing what was going to happen, Deernose braced himself for the shaking that was coming. It sure was giving him a great headache. Unsure of what to do now, the brown tom lashed wherever he thought he saw the dog. It wasn't helping much.

Redpaw bristled as one of the warriors was snatched up. She took a glance at the dog then leaped onto its back. She clawed wildly and she slid down finally reaching its eyes she clawed at them. The dog whimpered. "Take that! Deernose help!" She asked as the dog tried to snap at her.

OoC: Your leader is in Chicago, not really thinking about having his clan attacked by a bunch of dogs. >> Darn lucky there's ethernet here...

IC: Falconstar was driven to attention by the sounds of snarling dogs, greatly surprising him. Dogs? Here? One look confirmed that, and his surprise quickly turned into action as he ran past the camp boundary, leaped forward and slashed at the legs of the dog that was grabbing Deernose, snarling at the mangy mutt.

Right before Falconstar got to the dogs, Eaglethorn had already leapt for one, slashing hard at its side and drawing blood. Landing back on his paws, he whipped around and yowled in anger, more than willing to take out his aggressiveness on these unwelcome intruders. "You'll regret attacking us, you flea-bitten dogs!" Dodging a big, clumsy paw, the warrior weaved between its legs, slashing indiscriminately at them until it howled in misery.

Birdkit looked outside the nursery. She heard barking. Curiousity struck through her like a bolt of lightning. She ran to see the dogs. She looked up to see one snarling and drooling over her. "Help!!!!" She yowled. "Help! I'm new to the world!!!"

A dark brown pelt lit up by flaming sparks of ginger fur hissed at a large brown and black hound with wide pointed ears and a long muzzle which was crouched low, daring Thornclaw to leap at it. The warrior pretended to do so, but landed short of it's muzzle before dashing to one side, then feinting back to the other where he slashed his claws mercilessly down it's pelt. The mutt barked and swished round to snarl at the feline and snap it's drooling jaws at him. The dog would have bit Thornclaw's ear, but the warrior was quick and had already leaped into the air to land on its back and sink his teeth into the canine's shoulder. With a howl it ran with it's long-furred tail between its legs out of camp.

Whitekit peeked out of the nursery at the dogs. "Ahhhhh!!!" She screamed. "Dogs dogs dogs!!!!! So many dogs!!!!!!" She saw one get near the nursery. She shrieked and cried for her sister, Swiftkit, but she wasn't there. "Oh no, Swiftkit where are you? Please be okay!!!!!!" Her sister padded up panting with a scratch on her paw. "Dogs almost...got me...." She panted as one dog came into the nursery. Terrified and nervous, they jumped up and clinged to the roof of the nursery, pelts shaking. The sisters exchanged glances and leaped onto the ground. As the dog charged forward they huddled together, but a shadow crossed the ground, another dog! Screaming, they ran out of the nursery and hid in an old rabbits burrow.
