The exploration of a kit

A tiny newborn kit awoke in Riverclan's cozy nursery. Ravenkit, the new she-cat, slowly blinked open her eyes and looked around. A stream of light flooded through a hole in the wall on the far side of the little den, attracting the black cat's attention. She got up on her wobbly legs, and slowly crawled to the light. It led her to the camp. Ravenkit's eyes widened as she looked around at her surroundings. The air smelled like fish and frogs. She started to crawl farther away from the nursery, tripping and falling every once in a while. When she was walking, she wasn't looking at where she was going, and she ran straight into a furry creature. Ravenkit let out a tiny squeal, then looked up at what she had ran into.

Shimmerpaw had just woken up and was thinking about going hunting or something, when something ran into her leg and she heard a squeal. Shimmerpaw looked down and saw a kit that she had never seen before looking up at her. "Hello there," She said happily. "You must be new! I'm Shimmerpaw, who are you?"

Ravenkit was a bit frightened from the big cat saying something to her. She felt like she was a tiny bug talking to an elephant. She tried talking, but all that came out were strange noises, and not words. Ravenkit looked at the ground, a bit embarrassed by what had happened. She finally managed to speak, but quietly. "I'm Ravenkit." Her voice was nearly a whisper.

Shimmerpaw just barley herd Ravenkit. "You don't have to be shy, Ravenkit," Shimmerpaw said politely. "Any way, do you want to play?"
