Celebration

Cloudykit bounded into the Apprentices' Den, beaming with joy. She made her way to, again, one particular apprentice. She put her forepaws on his leg and shook it. "Badgerkit! You're finally an apprentice!" she said happily. "Come on, let's play and celebrate! I can get you food if you want!"

Badgerpaw woke from his sleep to a kit shaking him. He yawned and looked at Cloudykit, his former enemy. "It's Badgerpaw now," He said as he stood up and stretched. "Thats sounds nice, you grab me some grub and I'll be waiting outside of the den." He licked down his messy fur. "You go ahead, I'll be there in a second."

Cloudykit lit up and practically gave small jumps to the fresh-kill pile and picked out something nice for Badgerpaw. Then, she bounded back to the entrance and put it down on the ground. "Hey, why is your name different now?"

After a few moments of waking up, Badgerpaw padded out of the apprentices den. He sat down and waited for his younger pal. Once she came back with a piece of fresh-kill and asked her question, he didn't hesitate to answer. "Well, I'm older know and I'm an apprentice. Once you become an apprentice, your name changes, then once you are a warrior, your name chances again." He bent down and started eating. "Soon you'll have Paw at the end of your name!"

Cloudykit tilted her head and waited a few moments for Badgerpaw to eat some more. "What will my name be when I'm a Warrior? Will I be Cloudymask like my mom?"

Badgerpaw hesitated a moment. "Nobody knows what your warrior name will be, so I don't know. You'll just have to wait and see!" He finished up his meal. "So, how shall we celebrate? Oh wait, I have an idea! Have you've ever been outside of camp?" He asked. Badgerpaw wasn't going to take Cloudykit very far. He was only going to take her a few paces from the entrance.

Cloudykit shook her head. "Not since I came here. I don't know where we came from either."

"Well then, lets go!" Badgerpaw headed to the camp entrance, waiting up for Cloudykit once he got there.

Cloudykit was hesitant. "Is it okay for me to go?"

Badgerpaw looked at Cloudykit. "It's ok if we just stay by the camp entrance."

She smiled again and bounded over to him. "Okay! It'll be an adventure for the both of us, since you're the new apprentice! First time out of camp!" Cloudykit giggled.

"Actually, my second time out of camp," He murmured under his breath, remembering back from when he was a kit. Badgerpaw padded out of the entrance. "Well, this is it," He said as he looked around.

Cloudykit moved to random things and sniffed. "It's not much different, but I'll take it!" She turned to the new apprentice. "Come on, let's have some fun! We need to celebrate!"

Badgerpaw laughed. "Ok, how are we going to do that?" He asked

Cloudykit shrugged. "I dunno. You know what's out here to play with. Besides, you have to pick! You're the one we're celebrating!"
