A Perfect Day for a WindClan Apprentice

Scarletpaw got up from the apprentice den and walked out of it. She stood by it and looked around. Well, I could go hunting... Slowly, she padded closer to the middle of the camp. I wonder if anyone would like to come.

Heatherpaw yawned and opened one eye. She saw a cat move out of the den, and saw that it was Scarletpaw. She stood up and shook out her fur. "Hey, Scarletpaw! Wait up!" she meowed. "Where are you going?" she asked.

Scarletpaw looked back and saw Heatherpaw. "Oh hey! I was just about to go hunting-- you can come if you want."

Heatherpaw nodded. "Sure. I'm kinda bored right now." she meowed.

"Yeah, me too." Scarletpaw replied and walked out of the camp. She waited for Heatherpaw to catch up.

Heatherpaw trotted out of the camp.

Scarletpaw continued trotting deeper into the WindClan territory. She stopped again to wait for Heatherpaw to catch up.

The golden apprentice trotted into WindClan territory. Suddenly, she stopped. Heatherpaw scented the air. A rabbit was around here somewhere. She scanned the moor, and saw a brown shape sitting next to a rock. Heatherpaw crouched and stalked closer. The rabbit darted away, but Heatherpaw was faster. In one bite to the neck, the creature became limp and dropped to the ground.

Scarletpaw trotted around without making any noise in search of something that caught her eye. She saw a vole. She crouched down and stalked it until she was close. The vole heard her and ran across the moor to find its home. Scarletpaw ran very fast after it and pounced on it. Right after that, she gave it a killing bite. She covers it with dirt and goes farther to find another prey.

Heatherpaw looked around again and heard tiny paws scuffling around in the dirt. Mouse. She followed the scent trail. She crouched and pounced on it. This wasn't much fun, so once she trapped it, the apprentice tossed it up in the air and pounced on it. Once she thought it was nice and dead, she took it back to the rabbit and buried the prey.

Scarletpaw stopped when she heard hopping sounds. She looked at the direction where she heard the sound and saw a hare. She crouched down and quietly crept on the creature. Once the hare saw Scarletpaw, she took a run for it. She dodged every obstacle and soon she tackled it. The apprentice gave it a killing bite and buries it next to the vole that she killed.

Heatherpaw stalked two voles, and leaped on them, pinning them down with her paws. Once she bit the first vole's neck, she turned to the second one and bit its neck.

Scarletpaw caught the scent of another hare. She stalked it quietly. As soon as the hare saw the apprentice, she killed it by twisting its throat.
