Wolfpaw's Warrior Ceremony

It was time for yet another warrior ceremony. Thrushstar had been following the number of warriors lately, and it was beginning to come together well. The clan was growing immensely. There was no telling what they could accomplish now. Jumping onto the rock, he began. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Thornpaw padded here wondering when it would be his turn to become a warrior. (hint hint)

Wolfpaw padded out of the apprentices' den and sat down in the front of the crowd. He looked just barely smaller than his father now, having grown a lot since he was young. Now, today was his warrior ceremony, and he knew at least one of his family members were watching.

Redshade sat down towards the back of the crowd to watch with narrowed eyes, wondering what his son's warrior name would be.

Scratchkit looked eagerly out of the nursery. "Oh, a warrior ceremony! I can't wait to be a warrior!" the kit squealed excitedly.

ooc: Scratchkit used to be bossy, but somehow being with the other kits so much made him have a major personality change - he is now really nice.

Looking down at Wolfpaw, Thrushstar continued the ceremony. "Tonight we gather to make this apprentice a warrior. Wolfpaw, do you promise to serve and protect this clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Wolfpaw blinked and nodded. "I do." He meowed in his usually-unheard voice, monotone and kind of awkward sounding from minimum use. Not that he minded. Saying "I do" and agreeing to the promise was part of the ceremony, after all.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name," Thrushstar continued. "From this day on, you will be known as Wolfsnap. We welcome you as a full member of Shadowclan." Then he leaped off the rock after the ceremony was over to let everyone celebrate.

Wolfsnap dipped his head and cast a glance back at the cats who were watching, his blank blue eyes resting for a moment on his father, wondering if he would cheer for him.
Redshade only blinked and nodded though, before getting up and padding away. Well, that was the end of the meeting.
