The Great Anime Backlog

So I've been watching a lot of anime lately, like the filthy social degenerate I am, but my watchlist is growing short after blasting through a couple of series, so I need your recommendations.

I've never really been that much into anime. I watched a lot when I first got into it, when I was around 11-12, but then I stopped for awhile and forgot most of the series I watched/attempted to watch, so some of these recommendations might jog my memory a bit too.

Just throw any series you like at me and I might give it a go. Please no ongoing stuff, especially stuff that's a 100+ episodes. I'll take a look at any anime-style films you send me too, but they're pretty low on my priority list at the moment, so primarily just shows, please.

I might watch Attack on Titan to see what all the hype is about, but I'm not touching the chess anime with a ten foot pole.

Oh my lord, my older sister got me watching these, and we just watched "Pom poko" Part of the Hayao Miyazaki series its a really cute movie about these racoons that can transform i dont wanna spoil it for you but its really funnyyy theirs a part where their ba** get big its just funny but its sad also just saying YOU GOTTA WATCH IT.

I've heard a lot of good things about No Game No Life. The premise just doesn't appeal to me whatsoever.

Plus, it's ongoing. I'm already having to force myself to get the Raildex light novels just because the anime stopped halfway through the story and there hasn't been any news of any new seasons for several years now, so I don't need this crap too. Especially if it lasts forever. I can't stand not having any closure to stories I like.

Bleach is waaay too long. Nearly 400 episodes or something crazy like that, plus a couple of films.

I used to a Whovian before I grew out of it. Can't stomach it anymore. Never watched Sherlock.
