Owlkit's Ceremony

Falconstar jumped upon the Tallrock and called out to his clan, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Owlkit had been pacing outside of the nursery ever what seemed to be forever for the young kit, when he became aware of Falconstar's call from the Tallrock. He paused as he stared up at the leader and broke away from his pacing to head to the center of the camp. He wasn't stupid, he knew what this meeting was for; it was for his ceremony to become an apprentice. While he acted calm, he was bubbling on the inside; he just wanted to look good in front of Falconstar since that time he had wandered into the leader's den.

Smiling at the curious kit, Falconstar began speaking once more. "From now on, until you are ready to become a warrior, you will be known as Owlpaw. Your mentor will be Stormstep." It was good to get another kit to the next step in its life.

Owlpaw. He loved it. He glanced Stormstep before he made his way over, trying to look all tough as he reached his mentor. "I'll be the best warrior ever!" he huffed, reaching up to touch noses with him.
