titles are stupid

It was mid-day, nothing particularly unusual or exciting. A bundle of kits laid napping here and a few queen sat gossiping over there. And despite the fact that nothing was abnormal, to Cloverkit, the small cream color kit laying in the middle of the clearing, today seemed different. She had woken up what felt like moons ago and instead of drifting back off to sleep, she had stayed awake. Her mind was full of many scattered thoughts and ideas, like thoughts of StarClan. To her, StarClan seemed so magical and foreign, it seemed so weird that some cats could even get messages from StarClan and Cloverkit would be lying if she said she hadn't tried to listen for StarClan for a little while. But she didn't even hear a whisper from the cats up above, and sat there very discouraged for a little while. Then Cloverkit had a thought. Maybe she could ask someone who had talked to StarClan and find out how she too could have a conversation with those dreamy cats. The kit stuck her head outside of the nursery and looked around before sheepishly padding out and into the clearing. This was her first time out of the nursery.

Ryekit woke up with a small yawn, his eyes flicking open. Stretching his paws out, he noticed a tail-tip disappear out of the nursery, causing him to blink. He gently got to his paws and padded after the tail-tip. As he left the nursery, he saw Cloverkit in the clearing. He strolled up to her, shaking his head softly to wear out his tiredness. "Cloverkit, what are you doing?"

Cloverkit didn't even flinch at the sounds of her fellow kit. She was way to distracted by the questions she was going to ask. Or really, more along the lines of who she would ask. Was it only Medicine cats that could talk to StarClan? Cloverkit surely hoped not, because that would be really disappointing. "I was going to ask some q-questions!" The kit mewed slowly, trying to get her words out completely with out jumbling them all up. She was just too excited about talking to StarClan. "You know about.... StarClan" Cloverkit kept her voice quiet, as if she was telling him something top secret. The kit then looked around to make sure no one had heard her.

Ryekit titled his head, a confused look on his face. Why as Cloverkit so interested in StarClan? He understood that they watched over them, but the whole idea got him a bit confused so he figured he would worry about it when he was older. "Well, yeah," he simply said, blinking. "Honeywhisker tells me all about them. I-I don't understand it much thought."

Cloverkit stared excitedly at the cat for a few seconds, waiting for him to get excited. When he didn't the kit looked mildly disappointed with her friend. This was STARCLAN she was talking about! THE StarClan. What was more exciting that little cats living up in the stars and watching over you? "Exactly! So we-- we have to find out somehow!" She enthused, looking around the clearing with her tail flicking left and right excitedly. The small ginger tabby took a few steps forward and turned backwards to look at her friend, "Well are you gonna' come along or not?"

Ryekit stared off at Cloverkit, but quickly nodded his head when she looked back at him. "R-Right! Coming!" He padded up to her, his head titled slightly. Why was she so excited about StarClan? Of course, it was true that Ryekit had a very bad grasp on the whole idea. So maybe if he did understand a bit more, he could be as excited as Cloverkit was. But he did kinda doubt it.
