Born outside of the clan, her mother disappeared at a very young age. She wandered into Shadowclan territory where she was attacked by a hawk, but saved by one of the warriors, Mistflower, who later adopted her. She decided to be called Hawkkit because of her encounter with the large bird, and because her claws are black like the hawk's talons.
Matured by the harsh beginning of her life, she never had much of a kit-hood. She only liked to play-fight and didn't hang out with many of the other kits. She wanted to be strong and independent, not to need help from others or to feel helpless. She is very defensive and anti-social with a sharp temper. She sometimes struggles with clan life because of her inability to get alone with others, even her clan mates. However, she is very honorable and loyal. Once she does get close to someone she becomes attached and very protective.

Born into Thunderclan, he was born deaf in his left ear. Despite this, he is a very proud and slightly arrogant cat. He dreams of being the strongest warrior in the forest and would never back down from a fight. He does have a bit of a temper and is a bit rude to those he isn't close to.
