Lazy hunting.

Amberheart puffed out her chest as she gingerly padded through the reeds. She was a warrior now! Really and truly! Small toads hopped around her feet as she walked, and she batted at them a bit. Stop it Amberheart! She scolded herself, You're a warrior now, and besides, toads are ShadowClan food. She straightened herself up and sat by a little stream. It was late in the day, so all the queens, kits, and elders had been fed already. So she sat, flicking small minnows out of the stream and eating them.

"Hi there!" A young black and white tom padded next to her. "Hi I'm MidnightPaw. I just got my apprenticeship... I was finished with training and hunting, and I have nothing to do." He sighed, bored.

Coldpaw was right behind Midnightpaw. "Me too. I'm Coldpaw!" she said.

"Oh, hi!" she mewed, turning around "I'm Amberheart, do you two want to help me fish?" The little creek was deeper than it looked, she had now realized. There were larger fish, large enough to bring back to camp in its depths.

MidnightPaw mewed happily. "Yeah, sounds good! The elders and queens were all fed, and the prisoner doesn't seem to be eating... oh well." He sat on the edge of the little creek, looking at the fish.

"Oh, look!" she whispered, pointing with her tail, "That's a big one!" there was a large trout swimming at the bottom of the creek, just out of reach.

He looked at the fish, his mouth watering. "Awww... It's so deep."

"It is..." she mused, "But maybe... Here, go down the river about three foxlengths, where it thins, and sit there. It should be shallow enough." As she said this, she went down the river the opposite direction, and jumped in. "I'll scare it towards you when you're ready! Coldpaw, the fish is almost as big as Midnightpaw is. Try and help him kill it when it gets over there."

MidnightPaw padded towards the shallow bit of the river, and sat there waiting patiently.

Coldpaw did as she was told, and sat down next to Midnightpaw.

He pawed at ColdPaw. "Ready?"

"Sure am!" Coldpaw replied.

"Ok, here it comes!" she swam sleekly near the fish, stopped, and flailed her paws. The water splashed and scared the fish away from her, towards the apprentices.

Midnightpaw scooped out the fish, but it was really big. "ColdPaw, help!"

Coldpaw bit the fish, killing it and stopping it from flailing.
