Mistykit paced the nursery miserably, completely bored. She ran outside to look for somebody to play with.

Minnowpaw finished eating his fish and looked up as a new kit raced out of the nursery. Licking his paw, he padded over to her. "Hey, kit. I'm Minnowpaw, what's your name?" He asked.

Mistykit raced around. "Wow, you're not that big. You're an apprentice? That's so cool! What do you do? Do you fight a lot? Are border patrols fun?" She pelted Minnowpaw with questions.

Minnowpaw purred and took her over to the little puddle. "Firstly, you need to make sure that your shadow isn't over the water, otherwise the fish will be scared away. Then, you get into the foshing crouch." Minnowpaw demonstrated and waited for Mistykit to copy it.

Mistykit nodded and tried to copy him, but her tail was waving in the air and casting a shadow over the puddle. "Is this how you do it?"

Swiftkit opened his eyes sleepily, before blinking and standing up wobbly. Yawning, he padded towards the nursery, and found Mistykit and an apprentice he didn't know standing there. "Hey, there," he mewed. "I'm Swiftkit. Who're you? Are you an apprentice? I can't wait until I'm an apprentice!"
