Mistkit and Cloudkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Nightstar leaped onto the Jaggedrock. The crisp leaf-fall air ruffled her pelt as she looked over the clearing of her camp. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting." Then, the leader waited for the myriad of cats to pour out of their dens.

Cloudkit walked out of the nursery, yawning loudly and stumbling on his paws. He was beyond ready to get out of the nursery. All of the queens had taken good care of him and his sister, but he wasn't their's, and he felt no connection to them. Plus, he was ready to start training to become a warrior. He knew he didn't really belong in ShadowClan, yet he would still try to prove his worth. Sitting down, he watched his leader with amber eyes, waiting for her to speak.

Mistkit, on the other hand, was simply eager to finally leave the nursery and begin their training. It was true that their mother wasn't from the clan, and she did miss her dearly, but the memories of the barn were quickly fading away - and the cats who were all here that took care of her, they were their family now, right? Well, most of them. Some cats still shot them dirty looks normally, but Mistkit tried to forget about it.
The she-kit walked with a spring in her step, glancing around and spotting cats start to emerge from their dens. She spotted Sagewhisker in the growing crowd, a bright look of pride in his eyes as he looked at her and her brother. "Aren't you excited?" She nosed her brother's cheek, purring and glancing at the Jagged Rock. She could hardly stop trembling!
