Eaglepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Nightstar stood proud on the jagged rock, having already called the clan together. She cast her blue eyes over to the apprentice's den. She wasn't quite sure of this one, considering the trouble he had gotten into a moon or so prior. However, the leader was reassured my Nightcloud that Eaglepaw was more then ready to become a warrior.

Stepping out of the apprentice's den, the bulky brown tom proudly lifted his head. A leaf-fall breeze stirred his fur slightly, and it still looked ruffled though he'd done his best to lick it flat. Strutting to Jagged Rock's edge, he gazed up at Nightstar through amber eyes glowing with excitement.
Finally.

Standing outside of the warrior den was Nightcloud, a large smile fixed on her face. It had taken a while to convince Nightstar that Eaglepaw was ready to become a warrior, no matter what trouble he may have gotten in before...But even as she waited for the rest of the Clan to gather, her smile fainted a bit as she thought. So...Perhaps making Eaglepaw a warrior wasn't the best idea, mostly with the short fuse that he had, but perhaps the duty of being a warrior would help form Eaglepaw into the brave, noble cat that he was meant to be...Right?

"I, Nightstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." Nightstar leaped down from the jagged rock, so she stood in front of Eaglepaw. "Eaglepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Eaglepaw stared up into Nightstar's eyes, his amber gaze fixated. Under the powerful presence of a cat that could destroy everything with a blink of her eye, his gaze remained unwavering.
"I do." he replied, voice simple, blunt, and eerily calm.

Nightstar nodded then finished the ceremony. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Eaglepaw, from this moment you will be known as Eagleclaw. StarClan honors your Bravery and fighting skill, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." Taking a few steps forward, she rested her muzzle on top of the newly named warrior's head. Then after a moment, took a step back.

"Eagleclaw, Eagleclaw!" Nightcloud cheered with the rest of the Clan, a soft smile still on her face.

Eagleclaw smiled and purred lightly, stepping forward and resting his nose gratefully on Nightstar's shoulder.
"Thank you."
He said quietly, then stepped back. Tail-tip flickering, he padded towards the camp entrance to sit his vigil until day break.
