Rain, Lion, and Snowpaw's Battle Training

Falconfang was standing outside of the camp, watching for signs of life. He had told his apprentices - Lionpaw, Rainpaw, and Snowpaw - that they would be battle training today, so he was waiting for them to make their appearances. With all the tension throughout the clans, it was important to get some training in. You know, just in case.

"C-coming! S-sorry about k-keeping you w-waiting, Falconfang!" Snowpaw mewed, bounding across the camp towards the WindClan deputy. Oh, she was in trouble, she knew it. Too late and that was a bad thing. And, that's the deputy she kept waiting, oh this was bad. Very very bad. In her mind, she hoped that her mentor wouldn't mind being more patient than necessary that they were beyond late.

Rainpaw came racing out after Snowpaw and stood for a minute, catching her breath enough to speak. She blinked the sleep from her eyes before rambling off an apology to Falconfang.

Falconfang shrugged his shoulders with a smirk. "Well, we won't get any training done sitting here. Let's get going." With a wave of his tail, he led the apprentices to where they would be training, an empty area just outside of camp where nobody else would get in the way. "Alright you two, I want you to practice your battle moves on each other. Remember, claws sheathed. This is only practice. Now, Rainpaw," the deputy nodded over towards her, "try using a front paw blow on Snowpaw. Remember, we're not trying to hurt anyone here."

OoC: Everyone's inactive. This'll be fun. I'll try to make this quick, since I don't think anyone wants to spend weeks practicing battle moves x3 I assume you two know the battle system, all things considering, but let me know if you don't.

OoC: I apologize, I'm not really going to bother with doing the whole battle system thing since it's a lot of work I think and basically all of the apprentice moves are "Always Hit" and are low SP and HP.


Rainpaw nodded once her mentor had finished. Her tail lowered, she circled Snowpaw for a second before striking with the Front Paw Blow. She felt her paw meet its mark and she quickly retreated, remaining hostile for a moment before popping into a more relaxed stance. The tabby beamed at Falconfang.

Snowpaw, as soon as she heard Falconfang tell Rainpaw to strike her, the half-blind apprentice watched the tabby's movements as she circled around, relying on her clear eye to watch. It was a bit difficult to see, but in a heartbeat, she felt Rainpaw's paws make contact on her, though, of course, it didn't hurt too much. As the other apprentice retreated, the white she-cat watched her for a bit, seeing the transition from hostile to being more relaxed. Having a soft smile on her face, she was happy to see Rainpaw succeed, though whether she was going to have the same achievement was a thought that lingered in her head.

Falconfang frowned at how difficult it was for Snowpaw to watch her opponent's movements. He knew it would be tough with her half-blindness, but she still needed to get better, or others would take advantage of her in battle. "Focus, Snowpaw!" he called out, hoping he sounded more encouraging than rude. "Now you try the same move." He padded over and murmured in her ear, "Remember to keep your eye on her. If an opponent starts to move against you, you need to always be able to turn and face them with your good side." He moved back to where he was before and smiled. "Alright, now try it."

OoC: Unless either of you have any arguments, I'm prepared to have each of you try a second move against each other and then have the topic end with training like that. If you two want anything different, I can accommodate that, or just give extra training. I'll admit I'm not too interested in having each of you go through every move on that list. XD
