being bored

Duskkit sat in the middle of the camp looking around for something to do. "Why is life so boring?" Lightpaw got up and walked over to the fresh kill pile and took a frog from the top. "I should be an apprentice by now!" Lightpaw mumbled. She sat back down in the middle of the camp and continued being bored, hoping for someone to come and have something interesting to do.

Nightcloud padded from the warrior den with a soft yawn, her gaze gently flickering around the clearing. Her whiskers twitched when she noticed how empty the camp seemed to be, so when she heard the small squeaking of Duskkit meowing to herself; she quickly took noticed. The warrior let out  a small laugh, padding her way over as she watched the kit. "Waiting is always a hard thing to do, but it is worth it in the end," she said with a small nod, lying down not far from Duskkit. "Trust me, life will be a bit more excited when you become an apprentice but it is nice to slow down and take the time to enjoy the fun of being a kit...However, if you are truly that bored, I am willing to play a game with you if you want." The warrior grew silent as she waited for an answer, but a sly smile was on her face. Being a warrior was fun in all, but every once in a while she missed being able to play like a kit again. Hopefully Duskkit would take her up on her offer.
